Is there a certain rating you need to have to fly with you guys (for the Oct 4th - 10th gathering)? I've still yet to try and fly in NC with the Buzzards Club folks but it would be a good chance to meet you guys or some SC pilots too and check out a new place (especially if there's going to be a new HG school that's closer!). Also prob a dumb question but will there be some trainer gliders available (alphas/falcons?) if not, I'll also have to drive to LMFP to pick up my glider but it'll be a good opportunity for me to just bring my glider back to hopefully fly more around in NC (or just come hang out and not fly but that would be a bummer).

Hey Chih-Wei,

There is no minimum rating required to come along and meet some local pilots/ check out some local sites! However there are sites we might be flying that requires at least a H3 rating. And other sites that you can fly as a h2 but certain conditions will demand a higher skill-set. We can talk in more detail If you want to send me either a text or Facebook message 🤙I do not currently have rental gliders available, maybe talk to Craig Pearson at Thermal Valley Hang Gliding.

This is not an "official fly-in" just some of my buddies coming out, hopefully to get some good early fall weather! camping at my place is limited so if you would like to stay send me a direct message and we can work somthing out! Hope to fly with yall soon!

yep! I get that, which is why I haven't been out to fly with you fine gentle(wo)men yet, still trying to make sure I get solid launches/landings down pat and comfortable before I transition out of the flight school to other sites (at Hibriten).

But this is exciting, I have some personal scheduling to sort out but if possible I would love to come out and meet some of you guys and check out Thermal Valley too. Thanks for the invite and heads up Willie!
