Hey all,

     Looks like a fee if us are gonna hit Hibriten tomorrow! Anyone else keen? Forecast master Eric is calling 7K!! Good XC potential

Dang guys!

After seeing the Saturday forecast for Hibriten I'm tempted to dust off some equipment and slap on a rack! https://www.wunderground.com/forecast/us/nc/lenoir

A rare 40 deg.F spread between temperature and due point at 3PM, with some clouds (~10% cloud cover), means that the afternoon cloudbase should be around 9,000' MSL.  It will be well below freezing at cloudbase.  The 3PM dewpoint is only 14 deg.F, so bar mitts will be used for sure if I go.

There will be some west in the wind, but not too much.  Getting that high, it might be tempting just to turn downwind and try to cross I-77 later, somewhere near the north side of Lake Norman.
