I am thinking the WX looks good for flying Hibriten tomorrow.  Can anyone give me and Paul an introduction and get us through the gate?

BTW, Paul, you are welcome to spend the evening at my house if you want to fly Sunday as well.  I know that you have a long drive and I am seeing some potential for Sunday.  I live 30 minutes from Hibriten.

Hard to say about that one.  Hibriten is a bigger mountain and the LZ is further away.  The Butte’s launch is easier and big enough for about 3 HG pilots to ridge soar.  The Butte launch is harder to access than Hibriten. If you want to try Hibriten tomorrow I am willing to help and maybe fly.  Have you been to the Hibriten LZ before?

Thanks for posting up these pics!

It was a good day.  Paul launched first and had some great climbs pig tailing over the back on multiple occasions.  I launched next and had a great climb right after launch.  Went up to 5600' MSL on a 700FPM average climb.  Unfortunately it was the only high climb I had all day.  The day seemed to mellow out after but the ridge was still working.  Paul and I shared the ridge being ever mindful of each other.  Mustered up a low save a grand over the road between launch and the LZ.  Took that one up to 3300MSL but was soon back waxing the ridge again.

We both had a little over an hour in the air and both had uneventful landings.

I had a wonderful time today flying Hibriten for my first time.  Gorgeous weather and scenery and good flying.  What a great introduction to a great site.
