...I have a folder containing various sheets and then various dashboards with views from those sheets, all self contained. I need to duplicate the folder for a new financial year, but we need to leave the information on the sheets that feed the views intact. For that reason, I intend to move those sheets outside of the folder into their own location, and have the existing views point to them, as well as the new views in the new folder, as well as a new folder next year, and the year after etc etc.
My question is, if I move those sheets to an alternative folder, will any links to those sheets break, or is smartsheet intelligent enough to know the sheets have moved and make sure links are amended to remain intact.
If you're referring to cell links within formulas or URL links to the sheets, you're good. Each sheet has a unique identifier that doesn't change when the sheet is renamed, moved around in, out, or between folders or workspaces. Just make sure the permissions remain intact. Moving a sheet between workspaces will change permissions on the sheet to match those of the new workspace, unless the sheet itself has been shared apart from the workspace. Make sense?
Creates a shortcut to the provided Drive item ID and resource key, and returns it. A resourcekey is an additional parameter that needs to be passed to access the target file or folder thathas been shared using a link.
Drive requires a resource key to access some files or folders that have been shared using alink. This change is part of a security update. The update is turned on by default for eligiblefiles and folders. To turn the resource key requirement on or off for eligible files, usesetSecurityUpdateEnabled.
Gets whether this Folder requires a resource key for access when it'sshared using a link. This requirement is turned on by default for eligible files and folders. To turn the resource key requirement on or off for eligible files, use setSecurityUpdateEnabled.
Gets a collection of all files that are children of the current folder and match the given searchcriteria. The search criteria are detailed in the Google Drive SDK documentation. Note that the Driveservice uses v2 of the Drive API and some query fields differ from v3. Review the fielddifferences between v2 and v3.

Removes the given file from the current folder. This method does not delete the file, butif a file is removed from all of its parents, it cannot be seen in Drive except by searchingfor it or using the "All items" view.

I am looking to do something I thought was pretty simple... I have an existing folder (with project files) on my desktop that I would like have tracked by Github desktop for purposes of source/version control. It seems straightforward... I go to github desktop, select that I'd like to create a new repository, and point it at the folder on the desktop. Here is what I expect to happen:
A Folder object can contain other Folder objects, as well as Outlook items. Use the Folders property of a NameSpace object or another Folder object to return the set of folders in a NameSpace or under a folder. You can navigate nested folders by starting from a top-level folder, say the Inbox, and using a combination of the Folder.Folders property, which returns the set of folders underneath a Folder object in the hierarchy, and the Folders.Item method, which returns a folder within the Folders collection.
There is a set of folders within an Outlook data store that supports the default functionality of Outlook. Use NameSpace.GetDefaultFolder, specifying an index that is one of the constants in the OlDefaultFolders enumeration to return one of the default Outlook folders in the Outlook NameSpace object.
While generally it is a good practice to place items that serve the same functionality in the same folder, a folder can contain items of different types. For example, by default, the Calendar folder can contain AppointmentItem and MeetingItem objects, and the Contacts folder can contain ContactItem and DistListItem objects. In general, when enumerating items in a folder, don't assume the type of an item in the folder; check the message class of the item before accessing properties that are applicable to the item.
Use the Folders.Add method to add a folder to the Folders object. The Add method has an optional argument that can be used to specify the type of items that can be stored in that folder. By default, folders created inside another folder inherit the type of the parent folder.
Note that when items of a specific type are saved, they are saved directly into their corresponding default folder. For example, when the MeetingItem.GetAssociatedAppointment method is applied to a MeetingItem in the Inbox folder, the appointment that is returned will be saved to the default Calendar folder.
It seems like it contains two folders named AFX and IFX. I am assuming it is some type of cache or templates maybe? Currently, this folder is sitting in my documents where I have important documents that I use on a daily basis, and having this folder sitting there maybe seems like a bad idea. Is there any way I change the default location of that folder? If so, do you know how I can do that?
That makes sense. This looks like some type of extension that adds in some type of performance. I had to reinstall Creo and created a separate Documents folder where the buw folder was automatically moved in the new install. I really do not understand what this folder is. Usually, cache, user extensions, or configuration will go to the Roaming folder in AppData but I do not fully understand what this folder was. At least this way, this folder is not sitting with all my other personal stuff. Thank you all.
AFX and IFX are applications of theirs that PTC incorporates. The company I work for uses their SmartAssembly application to automate certain repetitive tasks. The folder is BUW because you cannot use an & in the name. As to what those folders are used for, I do not know.
My goal being in the context of development to rename the folder and the .xml file of an instance in order to return my data without having to re-enter a test form. Even to copy a .mbtiles file but I rather do this manipulation with the explorer of a pc.
Our company stores most of the project related files on a shared drive, which is hosted on a dedicated server in our data center. Since this is a shared drive, we can all use the same address in the file explorer to get to the folder. Is there any way (possibly also through an integration) that enables me to directly link to these folders via a click?
Depending on how the teacher configured the folder, students will either click the folder to see the files or they will be displayed on the course page. If the teacher included a Download button, students will see the button as in the screenshot:
As soon as you open the folder, Solution Explorer will immediately display the files in that folder and you can open any files in the editor. In the background, Visual Studio will start indexing the C++ sources in your folder.
- Tried changing the security settings - Added user "Everyone" with full rights to the folder.- Tried sharing the folder.- And tried on multiple devices. But always get same error. Folder sensor - Cannot access folder: The folder doesn't exist (code: PE032)
I have created an share with "Map Network Drive" 10.10.20.20\Data\Backup.It is an folder on an QNAB (NAS) Drive.I get this share: Q:\ on the Server. If I use Q$ on the FolderSensor it just say "code: PE032"What shout the Paths then be ?
When I created a Temp folder on E:, like we have on C:, I could also not access it. When I changed the sensor to monitor the Temp folder on C: instead (so C$\Temp) we had no trouble accessing it and the sensor went green.
Finally I was able to solve this (or work around this rather) by changing the Spool folder hosting Server settings in PRTG to use the FQDN rather than the IP address in the "IPv4 Address/DNS Name" section and the same in the "Service URL" section. No more errors after that.
I am being told I need more storage for backup. I have no interest in purchasing more cloud storage for backup. I just want to regularly back up important documents, files, etc. Norton seems to NOT have the option to back up specific folders. It only backs up "file types" based on their extension. For example "pictures" will backup every file it finds that is a picture file extension, like jpeg, tiff, png, pdf, wepd, bmp, etc that it find ANYWHERE on the drive selected. Many programs have images included with it's software. Those don't need backing up. And apparently the standard answer to backing up specific folders is to use the "include or exclude" folders. WHY should be have exclude folders to avoid every file of a specific type? That would take forever to identify every folder say in the program folders or download folders to set up a select list of folders to back up. Why not back up based on selected folders rather than file type?
