I am selling my 2001 low profile Clackacraft. The boat is currently stored at Occoquan Regional Park. A bit of background on the boat:
I worked as a guide in Wyoming and Idaho for several years. At the time, I had a full size Clackacraft (16ft). When I finished guiding, I traded in my old boat for the current boat. I hauled the brand new boat back east where I used it in Vermont from 2002-2005. It was garage kept during that period and not used on any rivers (so no chine wear and tear etc.). I then brought it with me to the DC metro area. The boat has very little use on it (the hull is pristine) and has many of the features found on the latest Clackacraft low pro model--rode tubes, tunnel hull, front and rear pedestal seats and braces. I am selling the boat with a set of oars, a collapsible spare oar, and anchor.
The boat is in excellent condition, but the trailer needs to some rehabilitation. The trailer currently has a flat tire. I have a mounted spare that will need to be installed. The electrical on the trailer worked when I first brought it to its current storage space. A buyer would need to be willing to do some level of rehab to the trailer to get it in good shape (hubs, paint).
I am asking $4,000 for the boat, which I believe is below market for a boat in this condition. As I would much prefer it be used and enjoyed rather than sit in storage, I am open to reasonable offers. The buyer would need to retrieve the boat from Occoquan. Please give me a call or text at
(703) 244-4121 if interested. I am happy to send pictures on request. Thanks! Matt
