Drawboard PDF's single page view allows one to swipe through pages (like "flipping" pages in a book). I find this helps with retention as it breaks apart the text, delineated by page breaks. I've tried your single page vertical scrolling view, but I found it to be clunky. A few things that would probably make this better (for the horizontal swipe as well):

Don't have the page "glued" to the screen, but put it on a rubber band -- so, as someone "drags" the page, you can see it react/ shift from the center/ default position. If the user just drags, then releases, the page will snap back into place. If the user swipes (ie, gives the page some momentum with a finger flick) with a certain amount of force/velocity, then the page "flips" to the next/previous one.

One feature I like about Xodo PDF (on Android)'s experience with the single page/ horizontal flipping of pages -- if you are zoomed in to the page to read the text (as you frequently are on a smaller phone screen), if you flick forward, it automatically places you at the top of the next page, at the same zoom level, at the same horizontal scrolling position (or, maybe it just centers on the text)? Likewise, if you flick backward, it shows you the previous page, at the very bottom of the page. I like this because you can keep reading without having to adjust your page position any more. This is probably a little less of an issue for the larger screen sizes of desktop/ laptop computers, but would still be nice to have in case one is zoomed in some and wants to keep reading at that zoom level from page to page.

As for why I'd prefer a horizontal swipe vs a vertical one -- this is more intuitive for me, having been trained on books when I read very long documents. Again, having this be horizontal helps me with retention (I feel)

When using PageUp or PageDown in Drawboard PDF, the viewer also zooms all the way out, if I am zoomed into a document. Is there a way to use PageUp/PageDown without zooming all the way out? (Note: This excludes using ArrowDown/ArrowUp to scroll through a page.)

This can be fixed by locking the zoom. The option is available once you left click on the zoom size, as if your trying to adjust the size by text. With that you can scroll through pages without it restarting the zoom.

As you know, Windows Devices are mostly used in Landscape mode(because of size or Windows was built to use in landscape) but the size of tool bar is so much bigger than the iOS version that the waste of space in landscape mode is too big

Or at least just showing the tool bar without the exit/minimize/zoom info on top. I don't think there's actually a full screen mode in the windows version yet. I think recently there is a full screen mode on the ipad where you can hide the ipad clock and stuff on top of the tool bar. I think the toolbar is kind of necessary but it could be a full screen page view.

If you want to highlight your PDF notes or add sticky notes to them in order to enhance your learning and working, this article provides an easy-to-use annotator, Drawboard PDF. This tool will make you mark up PDF documents anywhere. To know more details about this PDF markup tool, keep viewing the following.

The interface of UPDF is quite delightful and attractive. If we talk about security, the application provides complete security to the user's document. The annotation feature of UPDF offers the following characteristics to markup the PDF document:

Use the annotate tools to mark your PDF's important points or headings. You can also change the color of the annotate tools to differentiate the importance of points in the PDF. To save the PDF, you can press "Ctrl + S" on Windows or "Command + S" on Mac.

Drawboard PDF is a powerful tool that helps in marking up any PDF as conveniently as it is with pen and paper. It is an all-in-one tool that assists in drawing different shapes, inserting signatures and images, and setting page calibrations per page on the PDF document. One can also change the background color from different present background colors.

Step 1: Go to the Drawboard PDF online tool. Tap on "Open file from device" to select the PDF from your device. Select the relevant file and double-click on it to open the document in Drawboard PDF online.

Step 2: The annotating tools will be displayed on the right side, including a pen, eraser, highlighter, etc. You can also change the color, opacity, and thickness of the pen as per your choice.

Step 3: If you want to add other annotation tools to use on your file, press the "+" icon from the left side and use the multiple options present over there. Save your file by clicking the "Export" option from the left side of the interface.

As you can see in the table, UPDF is total the winner. Even if you buy a lifetime license of UPDF, the price is less than half of the annual price of Drawboard. Although the price of UPDF is relatively low, it has a lot of features. It's an all-in-one PDF editor that can solve all your questions about using PDFs.

With the help of annotating tools, you can make your PDF files informative and understandable for yourself and the readers as well. You can underline the important paragraphs and add the meaning of difficult words via sticky notes and comments. If you are proofreading the content of a PDF, you can highlight the points that need to be edited.

This is a recent development - the delete option is missing from multi-page PDFs that I create. I think the issue is in the security settings, but I can't figure out how to turn on the delete option, or change the security options in my document. I've started using Drawboard PDF to delete pages - I'm able to delete pages in there.
Any thoughts on why there is no delete option?
How can I fix this?

This drawboard is a page where you can draw with your mouse or touch input (using different colors) and everybody else which has the page open will immediately see what you are drawing.
If someone opens the page later, they will get the current room image (so they can see what was already drawn by other people).

It uses asynchronous sending of messages so that it doesn't need separate threads for each client to send messages.
Each "Room" (where the drawing happens) uses a ReentrantLock to synchronize access (currently, only a single Room is implemented).

When you open the page, first you will receive a binary websocket message containing the current room image as PNG image. After that, you will receive string messages that contain the drawing actions (line from x1,y1 to x2,y2).
Note that it currently only uses simple string messages instead of JSON because I did not want to introduce a dependency on a JSON lib.

The Options for each Tool are across the bottom of the Draw Board. Each Tool has it's own options, but many options are common to several Tools. Each of the Options are described in more detail at the bottom of this page. Options for each tool are listed under the description of the tool and you can jump to the description of the option be clicking on it's icon. Use your browser's back arrow to return to the description of the Tool itself.

I find the Draw Board most useful for annotating images, especially screen captures. What's nice is that you'll find a Draw Board in two other FastStone products (Capture and MaxView) and it works the same way in all the programs.

There are actually two Highlighter Tools, the Line Highlighter and the Rectangular Highlighter. I use to prefer the Rectangular one, but FastStone just added a feature allowing you to force the Line to be horizontal (by holding down Shift while drawing the highlight). Now you may find you like the Line Highlighter better.

Above you saw some of the many ways text can be applied to an image. To add Text, click on the "Text" tool. You'll notice your cursor turns into a big plus sign (not visible below) and an option bar opens at the bottom of the Draw Board:

Note above that in this case both the Background and Drop Shadow boxes are NOT checked. Position your cursor (plus sign) in upper left corner of the area where you want to place the text, left-click, hold and drag diagonally on the image:

If you want to change the style of what you've typed, you must select it, either with the mouse or use Ctrl+A (select all). In this case I decided I really did want bold type so I clicked on the Bold button:

This is where you pick the Font, its Size and other characteristics. Normally you'll also want to choose the Centered Text option if you use the Background option (this will automatically center the text in the text box). Also note that the right most icon in the Text Style dialog window is used to set the color of the Text. If you set all the type characteristics before typing text, you'll have no problem; however, you'll usually find you have to adjust size, color or something else after you see what it looks like. The secret is to click on the Text Box which will put the box with handles back around it, then use Ctrl+A to select all the text in the box. Now you can change the size, color, or whatever. You can also use the handles around the Text Box to resize the box, background and border.

You can change the color of the background and border, as well as the thickness of the border (click on the text tool option icons below for more details). If you check the drop shadow box, a shadow appears under and to the right of the box:

Important: Note that until you click on the OK button you can still edit ANY of the objects you've placed on the Draw Board. Once you click on OK I recommend you immediately use Ctrl+S to save the image. If you don't FastStone will ask you if you want to save your edits when you select another image or folder, but at that point you may wonder what it's asking about until you get use to its behavior.
