Loyal Coming Soon to Buttheads!

Quality, Consistency, Affordability

After it's successful launch at this year's IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas, NV, the family's newest brand 'Loyal' is now available!

For  decades, Carlos and his son Charlie have remained loyal to the philosophy of providing outstanding value to cigar lovers. Loyal provides value, quality, consistency, and most importantly an abundance of flavor.

The Loyal blend features filler from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, combined with a Nicaraguan binder and dressed in an oily Ecuadorian Sumatra seed wrapper.

Loyal is a solid, medium bodied smoke, that intrigues the palate with a spicy, peppery start and then transitions to a variety of rich flavors with notes of coffee and brown sugar.

Available in a 5 x 56 Robusto, 6 x 52 Torpedo, 7x47 Churchill and 6 x 60 BFC.

Carlos Toraño presented with  Lifetime Achievement Award

Carlos Toraño Sr, was presented with a lifetime achievement award by Cigar Journal Magazine to commemorate his service and dedication to the tobacco industry.

The award ceremony took place in front of a packed audience during the 2011 IPCPR Trade show in Las Vegas, NV last month at the prestigious Palazzo Hotel, attended by leading figures of the tobacco industry. The ceremony was hosted by the Cigar Journal’s Chief Editors Reinhold Widmayer and Colin Ganley who awarded Toraño a hand crafted crystal Trophy, which resembled a chaveta to symbolize the cigar maker’s art.

“I am truly honored to receive this award from Cigar Journal. This industry has been very special to my family and I, and we look forward to continuing the Toraño tradition for years to come,” said Carlos Toraño Sr, Chairman of Toraño Family Cigar Company.

VAULT

Blends from the Vault originate from a cigar blend book which, since 1982, has recorded every blend the Toraño family has ever worked on. Amongst the blends recorded on the tobacco stained pages of this book are those which were released by the family together with those which were deemed to have tremendous potential but fell short of the family’s high expectations. This book has come to symbolize the Toraño’s blending expertise and creativity and is now securely stored in a safety deposit box in a bank vault.

Recently, Charlie Toraño and Bruce Lewis revisited the book and discovered an intriguing, yet unreleased blend, Liga A-008, which was first documented in 2000. The original Blend A-008 consisted of heavy filler tobacco from Esteli and Condega, Nicaragua, one single binder from Jamastran and was finished with a shade grown Nicaraguan Colorado wrapper.

The blend was recreated and after numerous modifications, it was discovered that the missing ingredient to the original blend was tobacco grown in a region the Toraño family did not have access to until today -  Ometepe, Nicaragua. The addition of a second ligero binder from Ometepe brought another layer of richness and strength to the original blend, making it truly worthy of carrying the Toraño name.

Vault blend A-008 opens instantly to reveal a rich and flavorful base of spice and earth which is quickly rounded and complemented by notes of ripe fruit and anise. Vault is very complex and exhibits a multi-layered taste profile.

Vault will hit the shelves this fall!
