BBMI Talks

CitSci or citizen science is a frequently used and at times misused term.

A lot of research and scientific studies today are based on citizen science generated data.

Starting from the 19th century to the digital age, citizen scientists have contributed to the research of Indian Butterflies.

This talk will provide an overview of CitSci and its importance for studies on Indian Butterflies.

Since 2001, Vijay Barve has been involved with various web enabled biodiversity citizen science initiatives such as DiversityIndia, IFoundButterflies, India Biodiversity Portal.

On Sunday, 13th September, at 11 AM, Vijay Barve would talk to us about applying CitSci on Indian Butterflies.
