MicroStrategy
Current projects include Citigroup (both in Jersey City and Warren, NJ); Alliance Capital (midtown NYC) and one other in NY. As of

right now, he needs 2 for each.

 

Core skill sets:
These contractors will be working at various client sites, on behalf of MicroStrategy; those that will stand out from the pack, and/or

would be an IDEAL fit for this type of role:

 

·   Superior presentation, oral and written communication skills
·  Ability to articulate complex topics to novice or technical audience
·  Ability to translate technical advantages into tangible business benefits
·  Polished and professional in both appearance, personal interaction, and all communications
·  And, of course, to be exceptional with BI / data warehousing / data marts and MicroStrategy as well J

 

The contractors will be involved (initially) in senior-level meetings, helping to lock in MicroStrategy to further entrench themselves

within a client and build up projects, if not larger engagements. This is similar to an Accenture model: where they have a lead person

come in to help get the project off the ground, stay on for the beginning stages for gap analysis & proof-of-concept, then design,

architecture and potentially all the way through deployment.

 

Job Duties (include but are not limited to): 
·  Provide billable consulting support to achieve account objectives and production success. Services may include: product

   installation and implementation, enhancement, integration, or audit to meet customer business requirements
·  Perform information systems needs assessment, information gathering and recommend appropriate business systems and IT

   infrastructure for MicroStrategy customers
·  Perform data modeling, application development, technical product assistance and tuning to meet customer performance and

   functional requirements
·  Specify business systems (inputs, outputs, data, human and automated interfaces) to meet information processing objectives for

   MicroStrategy’s software platform
·  Contribute to knowledge capital via project documentation and best practice solutions
·  Mentor other consultants
·  Participate in sales activities, when appropriate
·  Maintain and grow knowledge of BI functionality and technical skills

 

Job Requirements:
·  Bachelors or equivalent degree in a business, technical or related field is required
·  At least 6-7 years Consulting or IT Consulting Experience 
·  Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing technology: RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and

   Teradata, Web, Client/ Server, and OLAP
·  Business Intelligence development experience and programming experience (SQL, Visual Basic, C, C++); Web/Internet experience

   (JAVA, HTML, ASP, XML, XSL, JavaScript)
·  Demonstrated ability to learn  new technologies and business requirements
·  Application knowledge of the following industries: Consumer Packaged Goods, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Telecommunications,

    Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare and ERP
·   Proven analytical and problem solving skills
·   Experience with implementation methodologies
·   Strong communication skills, both written and oral; Ability to build and deliver presentations to all levels of the business and

    effectively explain complex issues and concepts in simple, understandable language
·   Ability to mentor and lead a team of consultants
·   Ability to work under minimal supervision
·   Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills
