Dear all,

Here is the latest fleet news from Reading Buses.

Reading Buses

Further new acquisitions are ADL Enviro200 (classic) YX17 NTU and YY67 HBH which will become 646 and 647 in the fleet. They will initially operate in Reading to help cover network enhancements in the short term along with 648/9, with long term to be decided. They appear to most recently have been with Simonds Coaches. These are in place of two of the three E200MMCs that were expected on short term loan from Dawsons.

1009 is a new ADL Enviro200MMC on short term loan from Dawsons registered YX24 OZP. It arrived on 8 August and is in dealer white with temporary Winnersh Triangle park & ride branding. It entered service with 648/9 on 2 September which have black and white Reading Buses logos.

BYD / Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV demonstrator 1002 LC71 EFD returned on 30 August for a further period on loan pending the arrival of our next diesel double deckers for service enhancements. 1204 has been transferred in from Newbury & District from 27 August for similar reasons.

Ex Stagecoach 443 (YN14 CGX) has arrived from repaint and refurbishment and is awaiting entry into service in full aqua 28 livery. Agreement has been reached to purchase a further eight Scania / ADL Enviro300SGs from Stagecoach North East that will be released in the autumn to become 444-450 and a further training bus 308.

413 went away for repaint into new leopard 3 (orbits) livery on 30 July, returning to service on 3 September.

1211 gained a new all-over livery for tap on tap off on 29/30 August (ex lion), returning to service on 30 August.

382, 1203, 1205, 1206, 1207 remain on site in reserve.

Newbury & District

1204 transferred to Reading Buses from 27 August following the loss of a school contract.

Thames Valley Buses

795 returned to service following repaint into Thames Valley Buses generic livery (ex Flightline 703) and interior refurbishment on 21 August, albeit incorrectly appearing unbranded in base livery from 10 August.

Regards,

Robert
