Dear all,

 

Here is the latest fleet news from Reading Buses.

 

 

Reading Buses

A temporary addition is 16-seat Ford minibus AA12 ROW on hire from 14 September for the leopard 3 roadworks shuttle, which has been given fleet number 374.

 

680 went away for interior refurbishment on 8 August.

25 returned from repaint into emerald livery (ex yellow 26) on 19 August.

 

752/3/4/7/8 re-entered service on orange 13/14 on 17 August. They have been reregistered RG52/53/54/57/58 BUS.

23-25 re-entered service on emerald 5/6 on 20 August.

 

221/223 were withdrawn on 8 August and sold to Notts + Derby, departing on 10 August.

Withdrawn 220 has also been sold to Notts + Derby, departing on approx. 7 September, and becoming the last E400/E400H to leave the fleet.

902/4/6 were withdrawn on 16 August, 903 on 14 August and 905 on 3 August. All of 901-906 have been sold to Chartwell Bus Sales, and from there to Vision Bus. 904 departed directly to Vision Bus on 27 August, 902 and 903 on 28 August, 906 on 2 September, 901 on 4 September, and 905 on 9 September.

 

309-311 were returned to their original registrations YP14 TGN / YP14 TGO / YR13 PMY on approx. 14 August (ex RG55/54/53 BUS).

 

710-713 are still off for refurbishment.

 

 

Newbury & District

Irizar i6S Efficient 1433 (YT76 AOX) and Irizar i4 1434 (YT76 AOY) were delivered on 4 September in Flightline and N&D coach liveries respectively, and await preparations to enter service.

 

The summer Flixbus operation ended as planned. Flixbus branded 1423/4, plus Flightline branded 1422 and unbranded 1425 are now for sale but will see sporadic use until they depart.

1427 was withdrawn on 17 July, and is now being covered by the above until 1434 is ready to replace it.

 

The hire of 373 has been extended due to the roadworks being extended.

 

 

Thames Valley Buses

646 returned to service following repaint into Thames Valley yellow Bracknell livery (ex-plain white) on 14 August.

647 went for repaint on 5 September.

 

129, 130 remain in store for sale, and 191 stored for Dawson Rentals.
