Twenty years of route branding

Scania Omnicity 805 has received a heritage livery to mark 20 years since Reading Buses’ first branded route was launched.

I used to use the 17 in 2007 and 2008 and I thought these vehicles really were superb. Spacious, big windows and great performance. They coped with huge rush hour loads and all with a single door and most fares being cash in the fare box. The rather surprising 5 standing rule at the time was sometimes overly stuck to with drivers passing stops with some empty seats upstairs and sometimes ignored with standees on the stairs and upstairs. 

Interesting times.
