Here is the latest fleet news from the Reading Buses group of companies.
Reading Buses
761 returned from repaint into generic silver and seat retrim on 16 March, returning to service on 20 March,
762 returned from repaint into generic silver and seat retrim on 21 March, returning to service on 27 March.
761 had extra padding added to the seats as an experiment to see if we can make them more comfortable compared to 762.
421 went away for repaint into generic silver on 4 March, and is due back imminently.
438 entered service on 14 March.
310 (exStagecoach) and 311 (ex 411) commenced active training duties in their new dark blue Reading Buses Academy livery on 25 March and 26 March respectively. 310 is now registered RG54 BUS (and 311 is RG53 BUS).
741 is still waiting to enter service.
760 went on loan to Thames Valley Buses from 25 March until 6 April, followed by 761 from 7 April.
Withdrawn 214, 216, 217, 801, 1205, 1206 are still on site pending disposal. 211-213 remain in reserve.
Newbury & District
1428/29 are waiting to enter service.
Thames Valley Buses
234/235 departed for Chartwell Bus & Coach Sales on 18 March, and have appeared at Howards Omega Travel.
452 departed on 11 December and 453 on 22 February, both back to Dawsons. 455 remains on site.
781 went away for retrim on 16 March, followed by 782 a few days later, and are due back imminently.
760 came in on loan from Reading Buses from 25 March until 6 April, followed by 761 from 7 April, to provide cover on the enhanced Flightline 703 pending the return of 781/2.
