Here is the latest fleet news from Reading Buses.
Reading Buses
412 returned from repaint into updated leopard (orbits) livery on 9 May.
430 went away for repaint into updated leopard (orbits) livery on 30 May.
755 gained a new multi-coloured livery for the Reading Buses app on 30 May, and is now considered a generic bus (previously claret branded).
1009 was de-branded and transferred to Thames Valley Buses on 30 May, ahead of the arrival of 444-451 in the next few weeks.
AD Enviro400EV demonstrator NX74 ZEB arrived on 6 May for training purposes only, and departed on 19 May. It was not allocated a fleet number during its stay.
The new AD Enviro400EVs will be allocated fleet numbers 1-24 and registrations MRD 1, RG02-24 ZEB. Delivery of the first three is expected during June to commence driver training, with entry into service currently pencilled in for August. Expect to see 201 the current holder of registration MRD 1 allocated a ‘60’ registration by the DVLA shortly.

787 returned from repaint into updated N&D livery on 9 May.
785 went away for repaint into updated N&D livery on 9 May.
Thames Valley Buses
New additions from Mistral (dealer) are Alexander Dennis Enviro200 MMCs 688 and 689, which will be in plain white with branding for new route 704 between Maidenhead, Slough and Heathrow that is starting on Monday 2 June. They were originally B41F are currently having luggage racks retrofitted which will take them to B38F.
688 is M10 FXO, originally YX71 OJA, and was new in January 2022 to Johnsons of Henley, then moved to Lloyds of Machynlleth for a few months, then Felixstowe Travel (May 2023) where it was registered to M10 FXO, and it has most recently been with Border Bus.
689 is YX71 OJB and was new in January 2022 to Border Bus (where it held registration BB71 BUS), and it has most recently been with Transdev Blazefield (October 2024).
Pending the arrival of 688 and 689, 1009 has transferred from Reading Buses in plain white to help cover the 704 in the meantime.
