Dear all,

Here is the latest fleet news from Reading Buses.

A special running day to celebrate 20 years of route branding and a “nearly farewell” to the Scania OmniDekkas in Reading will be taking place in just over two weeks’ time on Saturday 26 October. The day will include our native OmniDekkas being in regular service on the purple 17, non-Reading ones being on football services, and several surprise guest vehicles providing free journeys! Further details will be publicised shortly. All vehicles subject to availability.

443 entered service on 13 September.

646 (YX17 NTU) and 647 (YY67 HBH) arrived on 16 September. 646 entered service on 7 October, 647 is being prepared. They are plain white with Reading Buses logos as per 648-9 for temporary use pending more E300s from Stagecoach arriving.

Demonstrator 1002 returned to ADL on 5 September.

211-213 had their base off-white livery completed on 17/18 September with branding for the new White Knight 20 service that started on 21 September. The official colour designation of the service is “white”.

They are registered FL74 LHR, FL74 SLH, FL74 ASC and are currently being prepared for service ahead of an enhanced Flightline 703 timetable that is being introduced on 28 October. They are to the same 76 seat specification with luggage racks as 736-40.

The plan remains to cascade 781/2 to Reading once they enter service.

Regards,

Robert
