TMBR: July 2025

I'm starting a new monthly article series, This Month in Beaver Research (TMBR, pronounced "timber") to share some of the highlights of Busy Beaver research and results from each month. The information is mainly pulled from the bbchallenge Discord server, but I will also include results shared on this list, news articles and blog posts, etc. TMBR is hosted on the bbchallenge wiki, which anyone is welcome to join and contribute to if you'd like to add additional news.

In this first edition for July 2025 (and late June) we cover new champion discoveries, holdout list status for BB(6) and BB(7), new Busy Beaver variants being explored, news coverage and a collection of interesting TMs. This first edition also includes a bit of Busy Beaver fan art shared by a Discord user last month.
