Hi everyone!
World AIDS Day is rapidly approaching- it is Monday, December 1st (our
first day back from Thanksgiving).
For those of you who were not able to attend the Rotaract/BUSGHO
meeting last Thursday, I wanted to let you know about the activities
we are planning, and give you the opportunity to sign-up to help!

1) Picture card display around campus. We have ordered 300 (free)
picture cards from ActingOnAIDS depicting children from areas with a
high prevalence of HIV. We plan to hang these cards from the trees
outside the medical building, so that people will see them on their
way to and from class. This display serves as a memorial of the
impact of AIDS on orphans and vulnerable children.

2) AIDS Jeopardy Challenge. We have reserved a table in the med
building lobby from 12-6pm. We have a series of AIDS trivia
questions, ranging easy, medium and hard. As students pass through
the lobby, they will be able to answer a trivia question and get candy
(or a condom, if we can figure out how to get them for free) as a
prize!

SHIFTS:
10:00-11:00 Set-up of picture card display
12:00-12:45 Tabling
12:34-1:15 Tabling
1:15-2:00 Tabling
2:00-2:45 Tabling
2:45-3:30 Tabling
4:30-5:30 Tabling
Please write back and let me know which shift you would like to sign
up for!

Also, we will have a representative from another organization on
campus selling beaded AIDS ribbons made by women in Africa (I know
this is vague- I will have more details soon).

Finally, if you were not able to attend last week's meeting, please
visit the google group to read the meeting minutes and find out what
you missed.
Thanks everyone,

~Juli
