1. Greater Boston APALSA Conference is next Saturday on Jan 23rd [Deadline to sign up: 1/22].

This conference is a great way to meet other members of APALSA in the Great Boston region, network with fellow Asian American attorneys not only in Boston but also other areas throughout the globe (i.e. Tokyo), and listen to panels that will be beneficial for minority lawyers in the long run. Lunch & drinks are provided.

The deadline to register is 1/22. You can also register on the day of, but we highly recommend that you register as early as possible.

1-2. VOLUNTEER opportunities for the GB APALSA Conference [Deadline to sign up: 1/16]
Please help us out!!! We are short of hands.
We have following tasks we need extra hands for. If you are interested, simply reply to us with what you are interested in volunteering for.
a. Registration (3-5 people with different time slots)
- Arrive at 9 for the following:
(1) check off name on attendee list
(2) pass out name tag
(3) pass out program
- Guide Speed Mentors to the 2nd floor for coffee break & instruct them to go to the 4th floor before 3:30
- Guide attendees to the elevator(to the second floor)
- From 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
b. Cocktail Reception Drink Tickets (2 people)
- Distribute drink tickets at Barristers Hall (2 tickets per person)
- From 4:45 pm to 6:30 pm
c. Catering and Coffee Break (3 people)
- Help catering set up for Lunch, Coffee Break & the Cocktail Reception
- From 11:45 am to 4:40 pm
Please take a look at the attached schedule and be mindful of the time you can volunteer when you sign up.
This will be a great opportunity to see how the event is run. If you are interested in running for the e-board next year, this would be the chance to show it!
2. Meet The Firms is on Thursday, Feb 4th [Deadline to sign up: 1/19]
The biggest event of APALSA of the year, MTF, is on 2/4 and the deadline to sign up for it is on 1/19.
Come and network with more than 22+ law firms. This is a unique opportunity, unlike any other networking events you have been to because the firms influential in the region all come to the school seeking for talent. This is a great way to build connections not only for OCI, but also for general guidance and mentorship that can last for your lifetime.
