Good afternoon APALSA,

We hope you all had a wonderful spring break! The following email is on the longer side, but it contains very important information about elections for next year's E-Board. This year's APALSA E-Board elections will take place on Thursday, March 19 at 1pm in Room 214.

All of us on the current E-Board have really enjoyed getting to know the 1L class this year and appreciate all of the hard work that you have put in to making our events successful. It's now time to pass the torch, and we encourage all of you to run for a position on next year's E-Board. Not only is it a resume booster, but it's a great way to stay connected to the student community and to faculty and administration.

General Information:

Please feel free to email any of the current E-Board officers to find out more information about his/her responsibilities beyond what is described below.

You may run for more than one position, but you must rank your preferences. Yes, you will have to give a (very brief) speech on your qualifications on Thursday. Please let us know if you are running but are unable to attend the meeting.

In addition, please reply to this email with a short blurb (a few sentences, max one paragraph) about why you think you are a good candidate the position(s) for which you are running no later than Tuesday, March 17 at 6pm.

If you are running for a Vice President position (Alumni Relations or Professional Development, you must have attended the event that you will be responsible for.

If you are running for President, we prefer that you have attended both Meet the Firms and the APALSA Conference this year.
