Revitalizing Downtown Cincinnati
In 2006 the Downtown Cincinnati Corporation asked 'mktg' to develop a
multi-platform program to reframe downtown Cincinnati in the minds of area
parents.
'mktg' teamed up with P&G's Tremor to target moms on P&G's vocalpoint
community site and reposition downtown Cincinnati as a kid-friendly, holiday
destination.
Launched in the fall of 2006, "In Pursuit of Cincinnati" achieved all its
objectives by late January of 2007. Before and after online surveys document
a sea
of change in mass perception on a range of issues from crime and safety, to
how easy it is to park downtown. Of 6,500 vocalpoint members targeted:
. 4,800 visited downtown during the holidays (74%)
. 975 attended the Downtown Dazzle holiday event (15%)
. 1,100 attended the Light Up the Square holiday event (17%)
Reaching Where Traditional Media Can't
Perception of family friendliness increased 85% among members. But most
significantly, 58% of vocalpoint members became brand advocates, talking up
downtown
Cincinnati to 4.2 non-members for a total reach of 15,800 people.

Baby Phat shows fabulous results
Most fragrance websites are visited only once, at product launch, and then
never again. When Baby Phat launched Fabulosity, the company charged 'mktg'
with
changing the one-visit-only behavioral paradigm.
Through a combination of sticky online tactics (wallpapers, IM and desktop
icons, and other digital downloads), a compelling "Gift of Fabulosity"
sweepstakes, and engaging retail promos (branded candy pop rings), 'mktg'
was able to drive 16-24 year-old women to sample Fabulosity and enjoy a rich
site
experience that kept them coming back for more.
The net net?
Baby Phat Fabulosity sold better than J. Lo's Deseo.
Pepsi Regeneration
When Pepsi wanted to do something innovative to celebrate the company's
connection to the African American community, they called 'mktg.' The
resulting
initiative celebrated "every day firsts" with a special Black History Month
calendar available online and at retail locations, heavily-shared
user-generated
content online, and a Black History sweepstakes.
The net net?
Everyday Firsts made quite an impact on the community with impressions in
excess of 1.4 million, 2,271 sweepstakes registrations, and 1,751 calendar
downloads.
