BOSers,

After participating officially for the last two years and only
receiving around 80 people over the two days it occurs to me that
maybe there could be designated/awesome tour people to guide people to
studios that ARE NOT on the Morgan stop. Maybe a walking tour with
guide or a bike tour with guide? It'd be great to get more traffic.

All the best,
Matt

Hey Matt,

I think that's an absolutely terrific idea -- is it something that you would be interested to help set up for next year? We've often talked about doing walking or bike tours, but what it comes down to is that there's no one to coordinate or run them.

Maybe we could sit down with you to plan something for next year. If we start early, I bet the whole idea could really grow in a helpful way.

All best,
Chloë

As someone who only had about 20 visitors this year, I think this is a great idea. A friend of mine used to set up bike tours for New Haven City Wide Open Studios, so I've been on a bunch and have ended up seeing a lot of things off the beaten path that I wouldn't have seen trekked to see on my own. I would consider assisting someone with this next year :) Maybe one of the local bike shops would have people who would want to lead some tours, and perhaps we could look there for sponsorship as well. Guided walking tours would be a great idea too.

Best,
Lizzie

We thought about this most seriously a few years ago - even so far as
thinking about maybe getting loaner bikes from one of the bike shops
(maybe as a sponsorship?) or bike collectives. Regardless, I think
this is an awesome idea, and would be psyched if someone(s) was into
coordinating it!
