Hi folks
A lot has happened at Bush Telly over the last few months. First there
was the earthquake which changed all the deadlines. Then we got a
fantastic new camera which is taking spellbinding footage of the
natural world. Now our websites are being hosted by Google at no cost.
Completed programmes are being added daily for the public to watch on
Bush Telly TV, and filming starts this week on the next series.
You are all invited to participate in the work Bush Telly is doing.
Get in touch if you want to help.

protecting our natural areas, native species and historic places.
Meet the Locals is a partnership between DOC and TVNZ 6 and is
distributed by Bush Telly with permission.

The Film Crew
Preproduction and filming is now underway for the third programme
series. The series will be filmed on location in Canterbury and the
West Coast, as well as in university labs and will be directed by Mike
Peters and Ian Gill. This week, the crew are getting background plates
and filming native insects and plants against bluescreen for later
compositing. Rendering is being provided by GreenButton which uses the
Weta Digital render farm.

Website changes
The Bush Telly website has been shifted to free hosting by Google to
save costs and enable editing by password access from anywhere in New
Zealand. As much information as possible is being added to the
websites.
We are also using free or very low cost hosting provided by Adobe,
Microsoft, Rhino, Zoho, Amazon, PayPal, BlipTV, GreenButton and
scenechronize.
Some kinds of information is restricted to those with passwords, like
equipment, the accounts, contact details, storyboards, raw clips, and
film scheduling. There are only 50 free passwords available, so these
have been offered to people who really need to use them. Contact Bush
Telly if you need one.
