Hi folks

Final preparations for the next years filming at the Ellerslie Flower
Show are well underway.

All but 3 interview slots have been finalised, with just a couple of
organisations yet to confirm.

Sasha and Mike are able to film on-location shots in December for
later addition to the interviews. First come first served if you are
interested. Phone Mike at (03) 980 0902 to make the arrangements.

The film set will be based on North Canterbury limestone country at
night and will highlight the unusual native plants and animals found
along with weed and pest threats. Set construction has been delayed,
but should be completed by Christmas.

Helen Braithwaite has organised a solid roster of people to talk to
the public while filming happens. If you want to help contact Helen at
Canterbury DOC (03) 371 3751

A large construction crew will move in February 15 to erect lighting,
the actual set and display areas. A separate greens crew will then
landscape and add thousands of plants. Finally the three camera film
crew arrives and gets set up.

There will be a launch event on Tuesday March 9 for sponsors and crew
before the show opens to the public on the Wednesday.

All volunteers and talent will be fully catered for at the Red Admiral
Cafe.

All programmes filmed will be slowly edited and released during 2010.
