Bush Telly opening
12.30pm, Tuesday March 9.
The main audience of this event is the sponsors of the Bush Telly
exhibit. There are at least 38 contributing organisations that have
given staff time, money, goods and/or services to make Bush Telly 2010
happen. A representative from each participating organisation and
business is invited so that Bush Telly can say thank you.
You will need to be escorted through the Ellserlie site for this
event. Be at the Exhibitors Gate at 12.30pm where you will be met and
escorted to the Starlight Marque.
The easiest way to reach this gate if walking is to cross the
footbridge adjacent to where Salisbury St meets Park Tce. Walk along
the path with the show on your LHS for about 300m. See map

The event is very informal, a meet and mingle over a glass of wine.
John Cumberpatch (the South Island DoC Manager) is the only speaker at
this event. His speech will be filmed and hopefully later used as the
introduction for the planned DVD about “The Making of Bush Telly
2010”.
Following his speech, sponsors will be invited to be filmed saying a
few words about why they chose to sponsor the exhibit. This will give
guests a taste of what the exhibit will be doing over the next five
days of the show.
The event is expected to take an hour. John and other guests will need
to be again escorted off the Ellerslie site, a requirement of the
event organisers.
