52 programmes were filmed over the 5 days of the show in a marathon
effort. Thank you everyone who helped, including the sponsors who
provide the means, the large construction crew who built the set over
3 weeks, the front-of-house team led by Helen Braithwaite who talked
to the public during the show, and the film crew who did a great job.
The set was very popular with people and Bush Telly has a growing base
of public support.
This week, volunteers are tearing down the set.
Tomorrow, ShineTV will broadcast a programme about Bush Telly on
Nzone. The footage was filmed by John and other members of the crew.
It includes interviews by Di and Jose.
To celebrate, there will be a "Wrap Party" for all supporters, crew
and sponsors Friday 26, 5pm at the Motukarara Bowling Club. Motukarara
is on the way from Christchurch to Little River. You are welcome to
bring your partners and kids. Please bring a plate of food to share on
the BBQ. There will also be a tennis court available (bring a racket
to play if you want to play). This is on rain or shine.
Next week there will be a roundup on Bush Telly News of the whole
effort and a notice about the debrief session planned. Then Bush Telly
News will become monthly.
