Bursar ready for production use?

We're rolling out a new subscription based site that'll use
authorize.net . Looking at the various libraries and tools bursar
seemed like a good option, but the project page says "It is currently
pre-alpha and *not ready for use* by anyone who is not actively
developing the module itself". Is that still the case or is it ready
to use?

I would use it for Authorize.net, with no hesitation. That's the most
solidly converted and heavily tested gateway.

The pre-alpha tag is really just because I haven't done much documentation yet.
