National College of Ireland (NCI) is a learning and teaching
institution, underpinned by research. Guided by the principles of

Learn 3K is NCI's Research Centre that is exploring how people learn
and their ability to learn how to learn.
We are seeking motivated and creative scholars who will explore new
technologies to enhance learning and the understanding of learning in
the community, in the classroom and in the workplace.
The College is currently inviting applications for eight post-graduate
research positions at Masters Level in the following areas:
* Large-Scale Programme for Media-Literacy
* Motivation in On-line Learning Environments
* Curricula for Learning in Blended Learning Settings
* Learning processes in the classroom, in the workplace and in the
community
* Motivation and scholastic achievements in NCI Learning
Environment
* Assessment in tutorial dialogues and online assessment techniques
* Information and Communication Technology (ICT) applications in
organisational learning as a tool for strategic change
* The effectiveness of Problem Based Learning as a teaching
strategy in executive education.
Five of the postgraduate research positions will be members of NCI's
School of Informatics and three will be based in the School of
Business. The scholars will be located in the Learn 3K Research Centre,
but will work closely with faculty and learners in both the School of
Business and School of Informatics.
Successful candidates will have a first or 2.1 Honours degree in
Computer Science, Social Sciences, Business or related disciplines.
