  freefutureforces" is a Cultural Association for networking and connecting selforganised projects with ideas of independence and liberation. The organisation is a kind of umbrella organisation of a circle of projects on regional and local level. The idea of freefutureforces also involves ideas of international activities and it is therefore always happy about new connections and perspectives.
  In short words, the main target of spektral is to build a platform for young people to support each other in the realisation of independent, self-responsible and self-organised project ideas. As the central organisation spektral has a pool of infrastructure at its disposal: the space itself, computers, printers, internet, sound system, a beamer, a bus, a library, cooking-equipment, tools, ... Spektral tries to link and mediate between the specific individuals and member organisations in order to enhance the interaction and exchange among them and to stimulate network and community building. All of the impulses and infrastructure are collective and common goods that we share and use together.
  
  There is our community center with about 300 m2 of space. The home of spektral and traumwerk hosts an independent project and media laboratory, consisting of a workshop and meeting room, a shared "office" room, a little alternative library project (infoshop), a shop of "independent artists' products" and a community kitchen. Furthermore there are a video editing room and an electronic music rehearsal room and in the arches basement there is a studio/workshop space which combines working places and a space for exhibitions and little cultural happenings.
  These spaces and possibilities are open for everybody to work with them and to realise project ideas. In the same time we organise workshops and events to stimulate exchange, to give impulses and to inspire.
  What we offer is an open working atmosphere, open office structures, a multifunctional homepage, regular meetings and media archives. Also we do discussions, multi media sessions, info meetings, lectures, concerts, dj-nights, installations, project presentations, beneficial events and fleamarkets.
  

Tasks

We think that the tasks of the volunteer depend very much on the individual person and our common process throughout time. The basics we are working with can be done by everybody, and focus and main tasks will evolve into more demanding tasks. We aim to achieve a good balance of framework and organizational, developing and creative as well as socially interactive activities for the volunteers. Additionally, we state that at times there are going to be additional "overtime"-activities: reflections of fridays'/ saturdays' event, documentary missions, excursions, extraordinary meetings, seminars, cooperations with related NGOs, initiatives and persons, ... of which most will be voluntarily and free will! Weekends with events may include more active involvement. Weekend-involvement is not in fact "overtime", but will reduce week's amount of time. Increasingly s/he will be carrying out activities on his/her own, attend the meetings, open up the spektral during opening hours ("Journaldienst"), be part of the circle of people which decides upon project proposals from outside and integrate them with spektral's monthly program, and help in the preparation and realization of events. After a while s/he will creatively invent "content" for our monthly program in spectral. According to abilities and interests, there are a lot of fields that the volunteer is very welcome to contribute to, like : enlarging the audiothek, shop, library, etc., improving audio-and vision room or other running projects, contributions to spektral organization, coordination and realization of workshops and other parts of the program, office and administrative jobs (don't hesitate, these parts are quick and easy), up-dating the homepage and network-file server and assisting with material, contributing to "spektral cuisine", helping in the establishment of the spektral project itself concerning structures and subproject realization , assistance and work with the different projects and partner-groups described in "Initiatives, Locations, Projects", open up the spektral and be there for questions, meetings and contributing "new eyes" to common work-sessions, reflections and discussions promoting the projects spektral, EVS, and others.
