NASA World Wind

I have been exploring an application from NASA and Sun Microsystems
called World Wind. It is written in open source which means that a
whole community of people can write enchancements, scripts, or plug-
ins.

Similar in some ways to Google Earth, this program has many
interesting scientific visualizations and can be a useful and free
classroom tool to engage students to explore.

I will demonstrate this program as well as Google Earth and Sketch-up
during my second PD on June 14.
