Learn Teaching from Lagaan	Wazzup!
Invariably all of us are teachers. But some of us are lucky to actually work with children professionally :-))) - if you aspire this, then we have an awesome training program combo - more details here. Even if you just want to be a better teacher then lets learn from Lagaan. Actually lets learn from just one scene of Lagaan - where Aamir Khan picks up the bat for the first time and teaches the young lad the game of cricket. Watch the clip before you read on. Says "Koi muskil nahin hai Tipu" as he whistles into the scene teasingly - setting up the excitement and challenge in learning something new. He embraces uncertainty and ignorance by anchoring cricket to something that all are aware of - gilli-danda - a common village game. In his mind he is clear about his expectations - not the result but the effort of learning and he pushes Tipu into learning mode. To that effect he knows that every effort Tipu makes or even his own is worth thinking about, making changes, adapting, learning. Catch doing right is what he focuses on. And he enjoys it! Check him praising Tipu when he himself misses the shot. Encouragement works much better than reprimanding. How he keeps the whole learning experience positive - not only because others are watching but because that is the very essence of effort against frustration (which is inherent in learning anything). Check the way he struggles with his "bat". Finally, starting from this scene  and till the making of the team and the win itself - Lagaan underlines that instead of worrying about weaknesses every person has his unique set of strengths.
