BURNING NERDS meetup at CENSUS: MEET OTHER ACADEMICS AND RESEARCHERS IN BRC

Come join us in Black Rock City for libations, conversations, and connections between inquiring minds!

Whether your research is about Burning Man-related topics or in other fields entirely, we hope you'll join this meetup to confabulate with your fellow boffins and connect with Burning Man and Census staff.

•   Enjoy a short presentation by JukkaPekka Heikkilä — a fellow Burning Nerd — of his Burning Stories project using AI to explore stories from the playa and other events
•  Hear from Burning Man Tech department's Andrew Lowe about Innovate and the Burning Man API and datasets available for developers and researchers
•  Sojin Kim and the team from the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, part of the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, who are recording Burner reflections for an oral history project called “We Hold These Truths: E Pluribus Playa.”
