Setting The Trap

At the end of February 1998, there was two things that "The Hit" could
hardly believe possible. The first unbelievable event was that the
Gang from Clavet setup their own friends to get at him. "The Hit"
knew the Gang from Clavet understood what happened in the home
invasion. They knew because Jimmy The Junkie would have been
switching vehicles since the wedding in Winlaw. They knew because
they could accuse "The Hit". They would have seen the emergency
broadcast. They knew. The second unbelievable event was that he was
now being blamed for the largest drug bust ever in Vancouver! He knew
the 4 junkies (pawns) were trapped by the Gang from Clavet. He also
knew that between the Gang from Clavet, Jimmy The Junkie, and his
Crew, they outnumbered him in spreading the word around. The Gang
from Clavet had 4 pawns trapped, and the Gang from Clavet chose not to
save their friends the night of the home invasion. They could have
easily warned their friends, but they sent them to prison instead.
They trapped their pawns in a lie, and now they were trying to blame
"The Hit" to get their revenge. "The Hit" could see that they were
trying to get the Hell's Angels to kill "The Hit" to cover up what
they in fact did intentionally. What should he do?

In early March 1998, David had taken over dealings with Independent
Auto Glass, UDI, and the IGA. "The Hit" let Julia know that
Onlineglass-com was ready to try a Russian programmer on a part time
basis. "The Hit" was going to give a few pieces of code to test the
water in Russia. David's advisers found his explanation of the
project on the Onlineglass-com web site to be a good start, however
they felt that a more in depth business plan was necessary. He was
given the task of starting the first draft of the business plan, and
David's resources would work the business plan from his draft. David
suggested the business plan would bring in more investment, while
Mitchell was still guarding their NAGS part and pricing information in
the courts. There was a little voice in "The Hit's" head telling him
Mitchell would be making a move because Thompson International was
changing the focus of their company back to their core business. Then
the Clan from Clavet showed their hand one more time on Hastings
Street in Vancouver.

In early March 1998, "The Hit" could feel the hate on the street, and
the Safeway on Hastings Street was no different when he went to buy
groceries. Little Mike and Mike followed him into the Canada Safeway
at 4440 Hastings Street for the Clan from Clavet. Bob had driven "The
Hit" to stock up on groceries, and the Clan from Clavet kept the
pressure on him. Mike walked up beside him and he said "you're not
dead yet." Little Mike walked past him with a big smile in the
aisles. They were both trapped by the Clan from Clavet, and what
could "The Hit" do? The Clan from Clavet and the 4 junkies could not
kill him directly after the home invasion. They gave up the drugs in
the home invasion in their deal with the Vancouver Police Department.
They could not do much themselves at this point. They were already
informants for the police. They could only try to get the Hell's
Angels and the Cartel to kill him by setting their trap. The Clan
from Clavet and the 4 junkies would do anything to dodge the blame and
promote him as the hit. "The Hit" was no longer afraid of the 4
junkies and the Clan from Clavet. He was afraid of what the Hell's
Angels and the Cartel would believe!

"The Hit" continued to cultivate his knowledge of the auto glass
industry in the popular forum Glasslinks. He followed the forum on a
daily basis to develop contacts in the auto glass industry. It was
apparent that the IGA could be the ticket to accessing about 1400
independent auto glass shops across the United States. The
independents saw insurance company steering and 40 % discounts on NAGS
pricing to be serious problems. In Burnaby "The Hit" worked his way
into Speedy Auto Glass by talking with Brian in their warehouse.
Brian referred him to Doug who was in charge of their IT department.
Doug did arrange a demo of the site with the management of Speedy to
review the project. They did find the project interesting, however
they did not make any commitments at this time. They did express
concerns about NAGS, and their need for NAGS in the warehouse.
Meanwhile, Mitchell was still protecting their market share by
guarding their proprietary rights to the part numbers.

On Monday March 17 TH 1998, Jack, Ray, and Steve were putting in a new
used fridge and stove into the suite at 910 Victoria Drive, and "The
Hit" was running down his groceries while he prepared to move into the
new suite on Victoria Drive. Hulia Karmanova had found a potential
programmer Svetlana Solova in Russia, and "The Hit" was preparing to
pack his equipment. On Tuesday March 18 TH work continued on the
project while "The Hit" packed his dishes and kitchen items into
boxes. On Wednesday March 19 TH "The Hit" packed his computers, and
he was prepared to make a move into the new suite on Thursday. There
was no food left in the house and he decided to walk to the corner
store on Hastings Street to get a few snacks. He took the usual route
down the back alley to Pandora Street. He veered right on Sunningdale
road where he saw Jimmy The Junkie. He turned right on Howard Avenue
before crossing Hastings Street. Finally, he walked east on Hastings
Street to the corner store on the south west corner of Hastings Street
and Ellesmere Avenue. "The Hit" scanned the area as he entered the
store, and he saw Mike across the street.

St. Brieux Credit Union

In the middle of November, "The Hit" had less than $1, 000.00 in the
HSBC account. While, he could dry out the account after the
Philadelphia trip, instead he decided he would apply for Social
Assistance. The money from Garth's mother would not last long, and he
did not want to use it for living expences. He was broke, and he
wanted to continue with the software for the auto glass industry. He
was convinced the industry would benefit with the application of the
Onlineglass-com software. Today, there was a voice mail from the
RCMP, and the irony was "The Note" from Canada Post Mailbox had not
made it through sleet or snow. However his new phone line with Telus
rang the phone bell clearly. There was a message to return a call to
Calvin Godart with his phone number in Abbotsford. Calvin had called
"The Hit" and left a message to return his call. "The Hit" was quite
confused about the call, as he was not expecting it. "The Hit" did
recognize the name. Calvin is "The Hit's" first cousin on "The Hit's"
his mothers side from St. Brieux Saskatchewan.

St. Brieux Credit Union: White Crushed Rock

"The Hit" explained he could possibly try for Christmas, however he
did not have a lot of money with the new software project. He
explained that he was trying to get a business going involving Auto
Glass Shops and Onlineglass-com. Leo volunteered hope. He said the
money was at the Credit Union in St. Brieux. Leo said "The Hit"
should call the St. Brieux Credit Union to make arrangements for the
money. "The Hit" had agreed that he would call the St. Brieux Credit
Union, and he expressed his interest in dropping by for a visit for
Christmas. Then Leo and "The Hit" promised not to loose touch with
each other. It was a long call, but the Telus bells were back on the
receiver. "The Hit" absorbed the news for the rest of the weekend,
and he planned to phone the bank on Monday. Should "The Hit" risk a
visit? Should "The Hit" risk his family? He should call the bank.
Meanwhile, Jimmy The Junkie, his Crew, and the Mysterious Financier
scuffled noisily on the white crushed rock along the side of the
house. "The Hit" thinks they were listening about the money on
Saturday November 15 TH 1997?

MJ and "The Hit" had enjoyed good times together as he worked on his
house trailer so he could sell it as a livable mobile home. It was
just after one of hockey's greatest goals with just over one minute
left in the game that they became romantically involved. Gretzky,
Lemieux, and Murphy led a rush down the ice to the net, and Gretzky
passed perfectly to Lemieux, who fired the puck past Soviet goaltender
Sergei Mylnikov to give Canada its third Canada Cup championship.
Soon after "The Hit" helped put a new roof on MJ's mobile home with
MJ's father, her friend Jock, and a few of MJ 's friends. That is how
MJ was able to get in touch with "The Hit's" brother Leo in St.
Brieux. MJ needed shingles for roof, and Leo had enough shingles left
over from his house for the new roof. MJ's father helped out by
buying the shingles from Leo for the roof! That's how this circle was
joined. The question was still what did MJ call about after all these
years.

"The Hit" finally received the Canada Post notification that he had a
parcel at the Kensington Square Mall postal outlet located in the
Shoppers Drug Mart. Garth gave "The Hit" a ride to Shoppers Drug
Mart, and "The Hit" received his parcel from Saskatoon. He opened his
"present" to find a very carefully made photo album of Cayla's
history. He brought the album out when his friends Bob and Garth
visited him downstairs on N Ranalagh Avenue. "The Hit" kept them up
to date on the upcoming Christmas trip to Saskatoon, as he showed them
the photo album. The album documented her entire life to her current
age of nine. The album included pictures, letters, and stories. "The
Hit" shared his plans with them for Christmas, and the software
project would be going on hold for a few weeks at the end of December

"The Hit" listened to Bob's and Garth's Christmas plans, and he was

On Saturday December 6 TH, Bob picked up "The Hit" in Burnaby to give
him a ride to the Pacific Central Station to purchase his ticket for
his trip. Saturday was the final day he could buy his departure
ticket for December 20 TH to Saskatoon with the discount. "The HIt"
was always unsure how it seemed he could not move without some sort
recognition. Perhaps, it was the Black Van? In any event, he had to
prepare for the Christmas trip to Saskatoon. Perhaps, it went as
further back from when he was followed home to Burnaby. There were
the situations on Columbia Street in New Westminster before he was
followed back to Burnaby when he lived on Manitoba Street. Whenever
he was moving about, it was like someone had shown his picture all
over Vancouver. Then that did not explain why some faces seemed to be
becoming repetitive? In any event they started from Burnaby to 1150
Station Street for the Pacific Central Station in Vancouver.

Vancouver Police Department Corruption

At the Britannia Policing Station "The Hit" gives the officer he
assumes to be the Vancouver Police Department Supervisor his
statement, and he leaves the room for about 10 - 15 minutes. He
returns the Vancouver Police Department Statement to "The Hit" while
accompanied by another policeman, before he leaves with the female
policewoman for about 5 - 10 minutes. "The Hit" continues with his
statement while they are outside talking. He adds the trip he made to
the Vancouver Police Department two weeks earlier to explain what was
happening. The Vancouver Police Department Supervisor returned with
the police woman, and he was informed that he was under arrest for
possession of a restricted weapon. The Vancouver Police Department
chose to ignore the gun amnesty in effect completely. Furthermore,
the Vancouver Police Department was not sending him to jail, as they
had decided outside to send him to St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver.
"The Hit" finished his statement, and he was handcuffed before he was
walked to an ambulance. The area was a zoo!

On December 20 th Bob came by late in the afternoon to give "The Hit"
a ride to the Pacific Central Rail Station at 1150 Station Street in
Vancouver. They packed Cayla's new computer into the car and they put
"The Hit's" luggage into Bob's Subaru Legacy for the trip to the
Pacific Central Rail Station in Vancouver. They once again took the
trip from 88 Ranelagh Avenue in Burnaby to 1150 Station St, Vancouver,
BC. "The Hit" checked in Cayla's computer as freight at the Pacific
Central Rain Station, and once again he felt he was being watched as
he thanked Bob for the ride. Bob left before he boarded the VIA train
"The Canadian" on Friday December 20 th 1997 at 6:30 PM. "The
Canadian" was scheduled to leave at 7:00 PM. The question remained
who was the Mysterious Financier?

St. Paul's Hospital

In Saskatoon in January of 1984, Melba Cindy's sister moved into the
house trailer with Cindy and "The Hit". The parking company continued
to grow, and it was a time when Becky, Kevin, BJ, and the rest of the
Clan from Clavet could easily have found The Hit if they wanted to
talk to him. He was still living in Star Trailer Court, and the
parking company continued to grow. There had been a hotel fire on 154
1st Avenue South on May 31, 1980, when the fire in the basement of the
Queen's Hotel on 1st Avenue South in Saskatoon killed two firefighters
while attempting to extinguish the flames in the hotel. Victor James
Budz and Dennis Aron Guenter died in the fire in the basement of the
Queen's Hotel on 1st Avenue South. "The Hit" did a title search, and
he rented the surface lot on 1st Avenue South in Saskatoon, as the
Ambulance pulled forward towards St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver.
