Burnaby Gun Crime

In Lloydminster "The Hit" finished his school year just after he
turned 16 years of age. He quit his job at the Lloydminster Co-op
packing groceries, because he knew Harvey's run was more than likely
to continue. He had enjoyed the Yamaha Enduro in the spring, however
if he was going to race motocross he would need a real bike. He
enjoyed spending time with Lorraine's boyfriend Gordon, and they were
able to do a little cruising in the country. He was a battery
operator in the Lloydminster area, and "The Hit" got along well with
his sisters boyfriend. Gordon introduced "The Hit" to several people
he knew as their relationship progressed, and "The Hit" grew up with
older people again. He always lied about his age, because he started
Grade 1 at just over 5 years of age. "The Hit" decided to take the
town drunks son's job back in St. Brieux after school was out in June
of 1977. "The Hit" boarded the Greyhound bus in Lloydminster, and he
was off to Melfort. "The Hit" finally decided what he was going to do
in Burnaby.

On February 26 TH "The Hit" woke up in Burnaby trying to figure out
just what he was going to do? What do you do when everyone thinks you
have had something to do with something you had nothing to do with?
"The Hit" has had the Mysterious Financier and his crew all over him
since the wedding in Winlaw on the July long weekend in 1997 in the
Slocan Valley. He didn't know what to do? He thought about what he
would do as he started to work on the Onlineglass-com project. He was
angry as he dealt with his daily routine in his office with a window
guarded by camera. The progression of the Internet was right on track
for him. He was able to go 16 Ft with the USB Cable to the Video
Camera to fine tune video verification of damage to a vehicle. The
sprinkle in the news was that Mitchel who had purchased by Thomson
Corporation in 1986 may have to fight for the NAGS proprietary rights
in the part numbering system of the auto glass database. The Sherman
Anti Trust rumour started while "The Hit" pondered what Garth's mother
was going to do regarding investment. Hulia Karmanova was doing well
in Russia, and the possibility of pursuing the project in Russia was
undaunted.

"The Hit" returned from Humboldt to arrive in Lloydminster in time to
complete his Grade 10 in Lloydminster. "The Hit" became particularly
interested in the fall of the British Pound, and the rise of the
American dollar. He studied the progress of the American Dollar
taking over as the world's currency. He followed the central banks as
they tried to delay the inevitable change of empires along the
financial front. He found the rise and fall of empires profound. The
winter months flew by quickly as "The Hit" kept to himself, before Leo
came by early in the spring with the Yamaha Enduro. Leo had ported
the two stroke engine, and he stripped the bike down to make it as
light as possible. He added knobby tires to the 100 CC Yamaha Enduro,
and they were both concerned that it would be a little small for "The
Hit". However, the porting was extreme, and as long as "The Hit"
could keep it on the pipe with the custom exhaust is was quite
powerful. He spun a little snow, and waited for the thaw! He spent
$400.00 to have a little fun!

"The Hit" crossed Boundary Road into Vancouver, and he walked past
Kootenay Street, Skeena Street, The Trans Canada Highway, The Pacific
National Exhibition Park, Renfrew Street, Kaslo Street, Slocan Street,
Penticton Street, Kamloops Street, and Nanaimo Street. He would soon
be getting into the harder downtown core section. He didn't know what
to expect as he continued past Garden Drive, Templeton Drive, Lakewood
Drive, Semlin Drive, Victoria Drive, Salesbury Drive, and Commercial
Drive. "The Hit" remained determined to continue through what some
would consider the easterly edge of the downtown east side of
Vancouver. He tried to remain alert passing Woodland Drive, Mclean
Drive, Clark Drive, Vernon Drive, Glen Drive, Raymur Avenue, Campbell
Avenue, Hawkes Avenue, Heatley Avenue, and Princess Avenue. He was
now in the downtown east side which people across Canada read about
with their coffee and newspaper. He had no doubt Jimmy The Junkie and
his Crew were going to notice his stand. He was already attracting
attention!

"The Hit" struggled with his diagnosis, and he tried his best to
prepare for a meeting with Garth's mother on October 25 TH at her
apartment in West Vancouver. He did his best to try to deal with
Garth and his expectations regarding the project. He tried to keep
moving forward on the project. He kept his contacts in Philadelphia
at bay, while he waited for the meeting with Garth's mother. Time has
a way of moving very slowly when you do know how much time you have
left. While Hepatitis C was a slow killer, the onset of the disease
was had it's symptoms. How could Jimmy The Junkie and his Crew have
done this to someone who was so straight with them? Just who was the
Mysterious Financier and why did he have something against him. Why
was the Mysterious Financier wanting to distribute this disease to
him. What sort of an animal is the Mysterious Financier behind all of
this? The Hit reviewed his options regarding the project, and he
continued too develop the web site as best he could under the
circumstances.

"The Hit" had enough! He got dressed, and he went outside to walk
around the Black Van. The Black Van quieted down as he approached. He
stood right beside the Black Van, and he looked at the Black Van with
smoked glass. He could not see inside, but the occupants stayed quiet
inside, suddenly. It had a solid panel body with dark tinted
windows. No one would come out! "The Hit" decided he would try
something else instead. He went back inside the apartment, and
shortly after the hazing and hollering continued from the area of the
Black Van. "The Hit" considered what has happened over the last 7
months since April 1997. Jimmy The Junkie, his Crew, and the
Mysterious Financier would not quit! They may have already killed him
with Hepatitis C given the prognosis, but they just would not quit!
In 1994, Jimmy The Junkie and Jeff lost his Hyundai while speeding
downtown after a theft or home invasion. "The Hit" stood up for them
in telling the court that they had not stolen the Hyundai. Jimmy had
no respect for him in the spring of 1994, and "The Hit" could not
quite figure out why he laughed at "The Boys" later in 1997 in New
Westminster.

"The Hit" finished the letter to the Management of the Piccadilly
Pub. It summarized Jimmy The Junkie and Little Mike in the Piccadilly
Pub. It covered their spreading Hepatitis C, intentionally. It also
covered Little Mike working the washroom in the Piccadilly Pub. He
could very well be sharing Hepatitis C in the bar with their patrons.
While Little Mike knew he had Hepatitis C, Jimmy refused to be
tested. Jimmy The Junkie could be doing worse. Little Mike was
working the washroom in the bar, so "The Hit" figured people should
know the truth. "The Hit" did not know how much influence the
Mysterious Financier had in the Piccadilly Pub. However, if the bar
wanted to support the Mysterious Financier it should be with their
eyes wide open. It should be their choice. The Hit found the bars
address on Pender Street in Vancouver in the phone book, before he
addressed the letter to the Management of the Piccadilly Pub. He told
the management of the Piccadilly Pub how "Jimmy The Junkie" and Little
Mike were supporting their lifestyle on the second floor room with the
queen sized bed. Just the Truth! "The Hit" enjoyed the evening
playing the Mysterious Financier's style that night. If they were
going to spread disease intentionally, "The Hit" felt pleased to let
everyone know. "The Hit" sealed and stamped the envelope.

The town of Claresholm rests on the fringe of the most spectacular
part of Alberta's foothills. It is a short drive to an endless number
of mountain vistas. In 1976, the 15 year old young hit took up
residence in a small room in the rented house with his mother and
Harvey, as he prepared to start Grade 11 at the Willow Creek Composite
High School. He started studying for his drivers license because the
Alberta age limit was 15 years old. He kept to himself as he started
school. There was no point in getting to know anyone all that well.
He passed his drivers test in Harvey's new Dodge Ram truck, and he
played a little hockey with a seniors team in Claresholm. He focused
on rock and roll, and he put most of his time into fixing up a 67 Bel
Air. It was in rough shape, but he started working on everything he
could afford to fix. Once again money became a problem as he spent
his summer money he earned in Ridgedale. He wanted to keep his car on
the road, and he was thinking of buying himself a full race motocross
bike to do some racing and mountain climbing. "The Hit" would need a
job!

In Claresholm, "The Hit" also found himself in trouble. In the spring
he would ride his bike out of the trailer court, and then he rode down
a gravel rode on the outskirts of town to an area where he could ride
in the fields near Claresholm. He was caught by the police with a
soft ball game going on in the background on the outskirts of
Claresholm in the northwest corner of the schoolyard. He could have
easily outrun the situation, but he was quite sure the police knew
where to find him in the small town of 3000 people. Rather than
getting a warning he was charged with a 400.00 fine for no insurance.
The school year finished with "The Hit" not doing all that well. He
passed all his courses, but he had a very low average below 60
percent. Eventually, the summons date of his ticket arrived in July,
and the then 16 year old hit refused to pay the fine in court. He
suggested that the court might want to put him in jail for riding a
motorbike 1/8 TH of a mile down a gravel road on the outskirts of town
to a field where he could ride. He refused to pay! He was eventually
sentenced to 100 hours of community service by the judge. He had the
money for the fine, but it just did not seem quite right to punish him
with the maximum fine charged by the police officer. Life was hard
enough as Claresholm had just lost a graduate "The Hit" new in a
automobile accident. "The Hit" negotiated to start his community
service after he went to Saskatchewan in August. He had a feeling
Harvey's Run might just work in his favour this time. There was also
something not quite right in the Lamplighter Pub that night!

In Claresholm "The Hit" bought attachments to hang his YZ on the back
of the Ford Meteor's bumper. He gave his notice at the Turbo Gas
Station at the end of July, and he prepared for a trip to
Saskatchewan. He put a few litres of oil in the trunk for the leaky
seal on the 360 cubit inch engine, and he drove to Humboldt to visit
Leo. Leo had purchased an old house trailer which he parked in the
farmyard at Picoye's in Bruno. It was great for riding in the area
around Bruno. He was able to ride without the worry of being stopped
by the police. He helped fix the old house trailer by painting the
kitchen cabinets, and he rode to the had a few beers in the Bruno Bar
with Picoye's father Nick. They rode around in his Ranchero where
"The Hit" had his first taste of moonshine. While "The Hit" had drank
hard liquor before now, he realized the need to mix this with
respect. They loaded up Picoye's Van to watch a motocross race at SIR
in Saskatoon. He spent a little time at the Yamaha / Polaris in
Humboldt, and they took a run to Ridgedale and St. Brieux so he could
take the town drunks job for a few days. He did not work at Heally's
this summer, but he was able to get around on his own now. The Rocky
Ridge Ranch was very empty now, because no tenants in the area could
tolerate the town drunk. Finally, Leo and "The Hit" went back to
Humboldt, and the next morning the young hit started out for
Claresholm with his bike on the bumper.

In Edmonton, "The Hit" found a job within 3 days of his arrival in the
middle of June. He started working in a gas station for Hugh's
Petroleum in Edmonton on 101 Street & 79 Avenue location. He rode his
bike from the YMCA until he found a small 1 bedroom apartment on 114
Avenue NW and 94 TH Street NW for July 1 St. He worked for Hugh's
which was the only major independent non-refining petroleum retail and
wholesale company in Alberta. The construction of Commonwealth
Stadium at 11000 Stadium Rd NW near him in the Norwood Area of
Edmonton was completed on time for the Commonwealth games. The 1978
Commonwealth Games started August 3 just before he gave his notice on
the 1 bedroom apartment. The games were boycotted by Nigeria to
protestNew Zealand's sporting contacts with apartheid-era South
Africa. In the first week of August, "The Hit" rode his bike to
Lloydminster to meet his mother and Harvey at Lorraine and Gordon's
place in Lloydminster on the long weekend of the 5 - 7 TH civic
holiday. He rode received his acceptance letter from the University
of Saskatchewan, and he went back to work in Edmonton until University
started.

"The Hit" moved out of his apartment on Friday September 1 ST, and he
finished his notice at work on Friday night as well. He caught a few
hours sleep in a deserted car behind his old apartment, before he rode
to Ridgedale on Saturday. The town drunk a family in the area that
had a son going taking his first year of Agriculture at the U of S.
"The Hit" was able to rent a room in the basement of a house just off
8 TH Street E and Clarence Avenue South in Saskatoon with Kerry
Shriner. The third room was rented by a CN worker by the name of
Ken. He left his motorcycle in Ridgedale, and he caught a ride into
Saskatoon with Kerry. There would be little riding time left that
summer anyway, and the town drunks son was not going to have money for
a vehicle. He would take the bus. The 17 year old started taking
Economics as his major, and Political Science as his minor course of
study. It was then that the young hit met his first computer course.
He became more interested in Computer Science than anything else, and
he was good at math. He already knew his grandfather wasn't right
about him being a lawyer when he was a young in St. Brieux?

The man in the suit finally looked at "The Hit", and he said "you're
safe for now"! Then, he looked outside at the cruiser sitting on
Abbot Street. The boys in the bar seamed to be buying the story.
There was the silence caused by the entry, and the band leaving the
stage in silence after their set. The event captured the eyes and
ears of the whole bar! "The Hit" didn't know what to say to Little
Mike and Mike. He knew why they needed to play out this theatrical
event. They knew! They knew 4 of them wouldn't make it if someone
figured out what happened? They decided to save themselves by working
with the gang from Clavet to cover up their involvement with the loss
of the drugs. They may have started this in seeking some sort of miss
placed revenge on "The Hit", however their carelessness in not reading
the note ended up causing this drug loss. Together, they decided to
hide the home invasion and the emergency broadcast. However, they
needed someone to blame, and it was "The Hit". They ended up wrapping
up their miss placed revenge, and their cowardice into setting up the
Hell's Angels. There was a good chance the gang from Clavet would not
make it if someone put together the Honda, the Emergency Broadcast,
and the gang from Clavet. "The Hit" could put it all together. "The
Hit" spoke his last words before leaving the bar. "You're dead, you
just have not fallen yet!"
