Greetings folks,
Please consider joining us for a presentation and film screening about sustainable communities in Latin America with Ryan Luckey and the Común Tierra Project! Founded in 2010 by Ryan Luckey and Leticia Rigatti, the Común Tierra Project is a mobile sustainability education project, documenting and supporting Permaculture Projects, Ecovillages and other grassroots sustainability efforts in Latin America.
Thursday May 16th 7:00pm until 9:00pm
$5-10 donation suggested, no one turned away for lack of funds.
@ PLACE for Sustainable Living
1121 64th Street, Oakland, CA 94608
Housed in an eco-caravan, Común Tierra (Common Earth) offers demonstrations and workshops for local communities on sustainable technologies including solar power, bicycle powered machines, composting and composting toilets, organic gardening, and seed saving.
To date the project has produced over 50 short films in 3 languages, sharing inspiration and innovative techniques found in local communities.
Común Tierra is a non-profit project fiscally sponsored by Global Exchange.
