I asked permission from Anneke Rencken to share the photos of their beach visit with her Chinchilla and her Longhair Bumilla (also known as a Tiffany).

Ek is so dankbaar jy het vir Lilly na Anneke en Cole laat gaan. 

Because this is an international group, I will further comment in English. 

It was a great relief that Lilly, the LH Burmilla female, bred by Gretha in collaboration with the Cherie-Finesse cattery, tested negative for HK (Hypokalemia). 

Every Burmilla litter is so important to the Burmilla ZA gene pool. If we can succeed to add at least one breeding cat per litter for further breeding, even if only for at least one more litter, we are climbing the steps on the ladder towards obtaining a wider span of genotype pure-bred Burmilla pedigrees. 

Gretha, I want to thank you for you contribution by taking the late Alan Edward's cat, Cherie-Finesse Arnella, into custody. It was sad that she tested to be a HK carrier. But you were brave, collaborative and supportive, and I want to salute you for that. You provided Arnella's daughter, Lily, as a landmark cat in the Burmilla ZA LH breed. Cherie-Finesse Lily is the first LH female in the Burmilla ZA program.
