Hello everyone,
I've just joined this group, and I thought I should introduce
myself, and some of the projects I'm working on. My name is Seth; I'm
the primary developer for the WaitZar and scim-waitzar projects:
http://code.google.com/p/waitzar/
http://code.google.com/p/scim-waitzar/

These projects provide an IME for typing Burmese on Windows and
Linux. They use a romanisation to allow "burglish"-style typing. The
latest releases (1.6 and 1.0.0) have a new romanisation which we have
been developing for 6 months. We hope our software is useful to
you. :)

I am also trying to get people interested in translating Ubuntu
into Burmese. I think contributing to the translation will help you
gain more support for development of Burmese software and standards.
Here's the Launchpad group; please join if you're interested:
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-l10n-my

All translations should be in proper Unicode 5.1-encoded text.

I'm glad to see an active community for developing Myanmar language
packs. Keep up the good work. :)
-->Seth
