Crossing guards have a tremendous impact on community safety. Sadly,
several crossing guards have recently experienced hostile and unsafe
behaviors. Please do your best to be kind and show appreciation to these
individuals who show up daily, in every weather, to help make our
children’s comings and goings to school safer.

Crossing guards are City of Burlington employees and there are a number
of vacancies across the City. Guards can work mornings, afternoons, or
