Please join us as the Burlington Walk/Bike Council and members of the South Burlington Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee hold a joint meeting to discuss opportunities for collaboration, including connections between our two city centers, next Wed., April 2 at 5:30-7 pm.

AGENDA:


1. Announcements and Updates (10 min)


2. BWBC and SB BPC Overviews and intros  (20 min) 

We’ll do introductions, and share info on our missions, structure, and recent activities to get to know each other better and understand how we can work together.


3. I-89 Bike/Pedestrian Bridge Connections (30 min) 

We’ll review the recent memo on connections to the bridge that will hopefully begin construction soon, and discuss how the BWBC and SB BPC can work together towards connections between the two city centers.


4. Local Complete Streets Policy (30 min) 

We’ll start a conversation on other possibilities for collaboration between the two committees as well as other regional committees.  This includes discussing the possibility of a group ride that leads into a joint/regional walk-bike groups meeting. 



Previous Meeting – At the March 12th, 2025 meeting, we got updates on the Battery St. project and NNE Sidewalk Scoping Study, talked about what would be done with the new bond money, and discussed the possibility of a Complete Streets Policy for Burlington.
