Occupy Burlington pop up encampment, on the second of July.
On the Forth of July, 236 years ago, Americans rose up and violently defeated the English, who had been taking much of the wealth from America!
After the American revolution, no longer burdened by British greed, America flourish greatly.
Today The Occupy Wall Street movement is attempting to nonviolently accomplish a similar popular revolt against a handful of super wealthy oligarchs who are hoarding 60% of the nations wealth and are using it to control the flow of propaganda thru corporate Media, to get gigantic tax cuts for themselves, to buy the politicians and law enforcement.
Dear reader, can you envision what the world would look like if the lions share of the world wealth was no longer in the hands of a few oligarchs?
The founding fathers gave us The Bill Of Rights, which states in article 1 that: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Despite The Bill Of Rights almost all Occupy encampments have been evicted from public spaces by the Police, violently in many cases!
Polling of Burlington’s residents shows that a large majority approve of Occupy Burlington’s right to have encampments.

Occupy encampments are proven to be a very effective technique for people with little capital and no access to the corporate media to have a voice.
At the last pop up encampment, the Police ordered us to take down the tents because park rules state that structures are not allowed in the parks.
But on the same morning battery park was full of giant canvas structures!
Is the law applied more harshly on those who have little capital?
and are rich people above the law in the United States of Money?

Occupy wall street arose primarily to raise awareness a of class super criminals that thru massive confidence schemes and fraud managed to fleeced tens of millions of  investors of their money, including selling massive amounts of worthless derivatives as low risk high return investments knowing full well that the derivatives were worthless, robbed tens of millions of hard working people of much of their life savings!
See: An Insider’s View of Wall Street Criminality: Toxic Culture of Avarice and Fraud
Many people assume that if no one is arrested or charged that no criminality occurred.
But there could be another reason.
Between 1998 and 2008, the financial industry spent over $5 billion on lobbying and campaign contributions. And since the crisis, they're spending even more money on lobbying.

Should we be surprise that the government never conducted any serious investigation, instead they threw tons of money at Wall Street.
And that law enforcement didn't touch the Criminals!
My proposal is to pop up our little tents next to the giant canvas structures in Waterfront park on the second of July at 5:30 in the afternoon to perform outreach to the community.
My intent is to make visible the larger double standard in microcosm.
Companies and people with deep pockets can afford to get permits to have structures in public places, permits can cost lots of money.
Look at all of the structures in the park at the top of this web site: WATERFRONT PARK INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
