a couple requests:
- can we get the slides from the talk last night?
- there were a few book names tossed around, enterprise design or some
such, can we get a list of those (with authors)?

thanks!

Dan,

I'm guessing Matthew will post his slides soon, but here are some of
the books mentioned:

* Domain-Driven Design[1]
* Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture[2]
* Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software[3]
(original GoF book)
* Head First Design Patterns[4] (a "brain friendly" treatment of the
content from the original GoF book)

Were there any other books mentioned that I missed?

Thanks,
Bradley

Yes -- after the webinar today (which is in around an hour, and for
which I've updated the slides based on the run-through last night!).

Yes --

php|architect's Guide to PHP Design Patterns
http://phparch.com/books/isbn/0973589825

This book is a nice intro to design patterns, particularly for PHP
developers, as it shows good PHP examples of each pattern discussed.
If you're new to design patterns, I'd start here, and then move on to
one of the others in the list. In many cases, the other books will not
show actual implementations, or the implementations will be in Java or
C#, so it's good to get some concrete examples under your belt first.
