Second, while I have the latest updated version of OS on my iMac, my printer, Canon Prima MX870 series 2, does support duplex printing and I use it all the time for duplex printing my word documents I send to the printer, I cannot figure out how to duplex print my adobe reader PDF files or any PDF files for that matter. I have followed all instructions that I could find about how to turn it on, however none of the instructions work. I have clicked on "printer" and when my screen comes up it shows duplex printing "off" in light gray and I cannot change it to "on" and no where on my iMac screen does it show anything called "properties" which some other instructions tell me to click on.
The instructions worked in find the version of Adobe Reader I have; I found I have version 2015.010.20056, but I am not sure how this relates to the 10.3.1 that the instructions say. I thought that I had downloaded the most recent version but does the 010.20056 means I only have version 10.2 and need to down load a newer version to get duplex printing?
Sorry, I guess I have been working on this too long I meant that I have been told I need to have 10.1.3, not 10.3.1. But still nothing is working and the instructions about duplex printing do not help to turn on my duplex printing.
If you're on a Mac, About Acrobat Reader is not on the Help menu but on the app menu (the first one after the apple, with the name of the app). This should be the same for all apps, so it's easy to find once you know how.
2015.010.20056 is still pretty old (but much less old than 10.2). It came out almost 2 years ago. I suggest you check for updates, which you can do via Help > Check for Updates. This is supposed to be automatic, so it might tell you about a problem. Please let us know where you get to.
I did what you suggested, went to help and clicked on "check for up dates." It said that my Adobe Acrobat Reader is up to date. What do I now? What is wrong? You say I have an old version and it says I am up to date?

As per my understanding, AEM Forms Add-on is a package that is deployed using the package manager in CRX. As it is a package, the complete information about that package is present only in the package manager console. Thus, if you are going to the package manager to check the AEM Forms version, you are looking at the right place and there is no other place to get that details.

We have just had Acrobat Reader update, it looks like it got a new interface, however it keeps crashing, it will stay open for a couple of seconds and then close, no error reported to the user. However we do see the crash events in the event log. We had no issues on the previosu version and this has now become a real issue for us.
I'll just put it down to a rubbish update, I can't have this not working, thankfully I kept a copy of the older 23 version. Removed this mess and installed the previous. Have now turned updates off. We are now working again but I really didn't need this at the end of the week. Really need to find an alternative.
Same problem over here. Seems to be connected to the latest update. It randomly occurs among our users. You really need to fix this via patch, Adobe. We are deploying all our software via intune and have currently no option of rolling back. As it would run into the same problem because I am not really enclined to stop the auto-updating feature.
Please get on it, asap and release a patch.

We are having the same issue with Adobe reader however ours is on a newer version past the optional update listed. Any permanent fixes to this? We use this on all our Domain computers. Our helpdesk is getting flooded with tickets and currently we have to change users defaults to edge to view pdfs. Thanks for any help.
I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 2022.003.20282, just installed this week and is up to date. On my previous computer I was able to uncheck the box for "open documents as new tabs in the same window" to prevent new documents from opening as tabs. I prefer them to open in their own new window. Does the newest version remove this option and force users to use tabs? Or am I missing something here..? Thx
I had this same problem, and apparently even Adobe employees in these forums don't realize that this is the default behavior of "new Acrobat." For now, the only way to fix it is to select "Disable new Acrobat," or something similar (I've already disabled mine and I'm never going back if I don't have to!) from the "hamburger menu." Just amazing customer care around here.
This option seems to have been completely removed from "new Actobat"
In order to get this option back you must disable new acrobat from the 'hamburger' menu on the top left.

Be great if Adobe Acrobat Pro allowed the option to open in new windows. So disappointing that they have removed this option. Really bad way to have to work with all tabes in the one window, and have to repeatedly answer the question whether to close all tabs. REally slows down when using multiple pdfs at a time. shouldn't have to revert back to the older version of Acrobat just to keep a useful feature available. ADOBE get your act together and think about what people want. From fhe community pages I can see that many people want to keep this option.
thanks for your reply Abanbo but of course you can close the tabs separate, or all at once, or disable the question. The point is it was a very functional way to work being able (by preference) open new pdfs in new tabs (and of course close them). I did revert back to the old version to avoid this issue but found by doing this, they'd removed the option of organise pages. Which is a necessary function for my work, meaning that I had to go back to the new one. Think ADOBE should just keep the good options that they had, not remove or omit in a newer version. Why take out something that worked? Preferences are for individual use preference so this is an easy way to give each user the option to work how they want .
This is driving me crazy. I almost never want tabs--I want multiple pdfs right in front of me at the same time. Have they fixed this yet? I don't want to have to disable new acrobat, as I'm in the middle of an important project and I'm afraid I might lose something.
Several versions of Indesign accumulated on my PC, so I uninstalled the oldest ones. I am now runnning InDesign 2021... but cannot open files created with older versions (I think 2019). They all show with a pdf icon, they don't open directly and I can't open them from InDesign... WHat can I do to open my documents and keep working on them with the 2021 version?
This doesn't work for me - running CC on a Mac, trying to open a CS6 .indd file. It was already associated with InD, but InD says it cannot open the file. I had no plugins for the older version and have not had a non-CC version installed on my system for some time.
