Hi Daniel,

Hope you've been well!

We will arrange for Item 1 to be completed on the next visit.

In regards to the question about item 2:

In the meantime, regarding Recommendation 2, wondering if more frequent watering (due to relocating the taps under Recommendation 1) might revive the plants? Also, do BCCS know what type of plants are currently there, that they are proposing to replace?

Please note that the taps are not being relocated.  The current irrigation system for these areas is in a private courtyard connected to their tap. We will install connections to the current common area taps but there will be no new taps installed, the only change would be where the water is coming from (not a private lot) and the access so the timer can be changed as required seasonally by our team.

The plants currently there are not suitable to the conditions in this area.  The proposed plants are Lomandras - it's the grassy plant in front of the letterboxes. They are quite hardy, evergreen and flower seasonally

Thanks and have a great day!

HI Magdalena,

Please proceed with recommendation 1. Hold off on 2 and 3 for now.

If you can provide a response to the query surrounding recommendation 2, that would be great!

Kind Regards,

Hi Daniel,

The Committee would like to proceed with Recommendation 1 at this time. Please advise BCCS.

I will come back to you on Recommendations 2 and 3 once we have discussed them at our next meeting on 13/4/26.

In the meantime, regarding Recommendation 2, wondering if more frequent watering (due to relocating the taps under Recommendation 1) might revive the plants? Also, do BCCS know what type of plants are currently there, that they are proposing to replace?

Thanks

Marina

Hi Marina,

Please see below recommendations received from the gardeners last week. I understand we covered off the tap matter during a phone call and resolved that it shall remain in situ with a member of the committee perhaps replacing the batteries in the timer.

Will await instruction.

Kind Regards,

Hi Daniel,

Hope you've been well!

The gardening team sent the following recommendations:

1. The irrigation in the front garden (excluding the garden bed near the bin area) is currently connected to private courtyards. We can change this so they connect to the common taps; the cost would be $300 + GST

2. The plants in the garden bed on the left-hand side of the entrance are struggling, and the gardener recommends replacing them with 8x Indian Hawthorn in 20cm pot as they would be more suitable for this area. The cost would be $380 + GST

3. All garden beds require fertilising and a top-up of the eucy mulch. The cost to supply and spread it would be $750 + GST

Let me know if you have any questions

Thanks and have a great day!
