BSIDESCHICAGO: Hack Eary; Hack Often on April 28th, 2012!

BSidesChicago is an open platform that gives security experts and
industry professionals the opportunity so share ideas, insights, and
develop longstanding relationships with others in the community. It is
a rare opportunity to directly connect and create trusted
relationships with key members of the community. It is part of the
Security BSides Framework and each event is born by the local
organizers.

We are looking for quality presentations that will really make B-Sides
Chicago stand out as a "must-attend" for anyone in the Chicago area. 
The "Call for Papers" (CFP) is now open and are looking for a variety
of submissions:


• Big Tent Talk (50 mins.) - We are looking for talks on Social
engineering, Security education, Training programs, Network Security,
Application Security,  Awareness, PenTest Techniques & approaches,
Lessons Learned, Exploits and Defense, New vulnerabilities, Novel
defenses, Forensics, Intrusion,  Incident Response, security research,
hardware hacking,

• Rapid Fire (30 mins.) - Working on something cool, have an idea in
the back of your head, or want to get something out there for
discussion but don't have time to polish it off or just want to keep
it brief then Rapid Talks are for you.

• Tool/Teacher track (30 mins) -  We would like to show security pro's
some skills they can use right away. These talks are aimed at tools
that are readily available (already installed on Back Track 5), and
can show someone where to begin.

• Panels & Round tables


To make this a success we need people willing to share their
knowledge.  Sharing thoughts and ideas is what makes security a great
community! First round registration will open on March 1st.
