The D-U-N-S Number is a unique nine-digit number that identifies business entities on a location-specific basis. Assigned and maintained by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), the D-U-N-S Number is widely used as a standard business identifier.
Your D-U-N-S Number will be used to check the identity and legal entity status of your organization as part of our enrollment verification process for joining the Apple Developer Program or the Apple Developer Enterprise Program. While many types of businesses can receive a D-U-N-S Number, your business must be recognized as a legal entity (such as a corporation, limited partnership, or limited liability company) to enter into the legal terms and obligations of Apple Developer Program agreements. DBAs, fictitious businesses, trade names, and branches are not accepted.
You'll be asked for the following information when looking up your organization:
- Legal entity name
- Headquarters address
- Mailing address
- Your work contact information
After requesting a D-U-N-S Number, please allow up to 5 business days to receive your number from D&B. Expediting your D-U-N-S Number creation process will not shorten this waiting period. If your application has taken longer than two weeks to process, please email D&B.
By default, Word numbers every line in a document (except those in tables, footnotes, endnotes, text boxes, and headers and footers). However, you can choose which line numbers to display. For example, you can display line numbers in all or part of the document. Or you can display line numbers at intervals, such as every tenth line (10, 20, 30, and so on).
When I check the exploded view of my Apple Technician Guide for this MacBook Pro, it lists part number 661-5480 for the 2.66GHz model. However, upon checking various stockists I see both 661-5480 and 661-6362 used interchangeably for this particular logic board.
This allowed the interior to be re-arranged, leaving more room at the top of the case and doubling the number of internal drive bays. If you cannot locate the asset tag information for a particular device, send us the serial number instead. We track both pieces of information - the asset tag is shorter and consistent across all devices, which is why we prefer to use it.
The best way to check if you should return your laptop is by entering its serial number into this webpage. Your serial number can be found by selecting the Apple logo in the top left corner of the screen and selecting "About this Mac".
Why is my random number generator only giving me the values: 1, 6, 11, 16 and 21? This makes no sense to me. I made sure to seed it and the numbers aren't always in the same order which is what makes this even more confusing. As a side note I am using OSX.
Information Technology Services (ITS) has learned that Apple determined the battery in a limited number of older generation 15-inch MacBook Pro laptops may overheat and pose a fire safety risk. Affected laptops were sold primarily between September 2015 and February 2017, and product eligibility is determined by the product serial number. The batteries have been recalled and require replacement.
With the holiday travel season approaching, Mac users need to be aware of the flight risk affected batteries pose and that laptops may be denied at airport security checkpoints. Last week, a Mason customer flying internationally was not allowed to board his flight with an unaffected MacBook Pro. Due to this occurrence, ITS is recommending that if users will be flying with any model of MacBook Pro, to visit the Apple Battery Recall site and determine if their computers are at risk. Following the assessment, ITS advises users to carry the confirmation that their Mac is unaffected with them while traveling.
Each core is actually a processor. For quite some time it has been difficult to make processors with multiple cores, so computers which needed to have high performance and do large number of tasks concurrently used multiple processors.
There is also Xeon Core comparison. Both processors are related, but Xeon processors are meant for servers where there is need to process large amounts of data and where reliability is extremely important. They are usually of very high quality. Core processors are simpler desktop and laptop versions and they are cheaper and of lower quality. Also Xeon processors use different type of RAM which can detect errors caused by background radiation (among other things) and correct them. Further more, your friend's system can take much much more RAM than your own. I don't know exact numbers MacBook Pros at the time your processor was popular couldn't take more than 4 GiB of RAM, while your friend's computer could probably take at least 16 GiB of RAM and probably more.

On the Mac, open FaceTime and go to Preferences/Settings and make sure the iPhone Cellular Calls option is checked. On the iPhone/iPad, go to Settings/FaceTime and make sure the iPhone Cellular Calls option is checked. The Mac's internal microphone is selected by default. If you have a separate microphone for the Mac the sound quality will probably be better. If you don't have a microphone, the internal microphone does work well.
Initiate a call by opening FaceTime and check the "Audio" radio button. Move right to locate the search box and enter the name, e-mail, or phone number of the person you want to call. Go right once more to the results table. Locate the correct result and press the spacebar. A menu will appear. The first option refers to the iPhone and can be ignored. Go to the second option, which will be the number of the person you want to call. Press the Enter key. Once you are done with your call, go right to the "End" button.
In System Preferences, go to the Dictation & Speech tab and select Dictation. Make sure the Enhanced Dictation box is checked. If it's your first time using Enhanced Dictation, a small program will download automatically. Next, go to the Accessibility tab and check the Dictation option in the Accessibility Features table. Go right to the "Commands" button and activate it to view a list of commands, including commands for opening an application, closing an application, deleting text, and pressing the Return key. You can even create your own commands.
By default in Yosemite there are no sound effects when the volume is adjusted. To change this, go into System Preferences/Sound/Sound Effects and check the box that says "Play feedback when volume is changed."
