Practice Tomorrow - #GivingTuesdayChallenge

Don’t forget that Tuesday December 10^th (tomorrow) is our inaugural “giving Tuesday” swim practice at the Y from 8:15 to 9:30 pm.

The concept is to give back to the community by sponsoring your swim with a flat rate donation either by fundraising or simply making a personal (tax deductible) contribution. Any amount is appreciated. $5, $10, $20 or more – whatever works for you. We just want to see you at practice.

We are hoping for full participation!

And a special shout out to all of the swimmers of Masters Past who are still on this e-mail list…  please take this opportunity to reconnect with all of your old friends.  Even if you haven’t been swimming in a long time. We promise to make it fun. Every set will have an alternate option of a 100 yard “social kick”.

Please share this with any friends, family or other swimmers that would like to swim with us tomorrow. The more the merrier. Jeff & I would love nothing more than to fill the whole pool with Masters swimmers!

And if swimming and giving back to the community isn't incentive enough, we'll plan to go to Biltmore & Main right after practice and let the fun continue.

PS The coaches are chipping in some extra fundraising incentives:

• $25:       Balloon with your name on the YMCA wall
• $50:       you also pick a set for the December 10^th practice
• $75:       you also participate in a 1-hour stroke development clinic delivered at a later date
• $100:     you also receive a personalized underwater video analysis of your stroke filmed at the clinic (priceless!)

Due to continuing issues with the boilers, the YMCA pool is closed tonight.

No swim practice. 

We will reschedule the #GivingTuesdayChallenge for next week, Tuesday December 17th

Sorry to hear it Jeff! I’ll be there next Tuesday.

If anyone is ‘desperate’ to get a swim workout in while the boilers are getting fixed, the Waltham Y Masters team welcomes you to practice Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30-9:30pm. We have 4 lanes and swim about 2800yds per workout. All levels welcome.
