Having learnt about Focusrite now giving away both their Scarlett and Midnight plugin-suites for free I downloaded and installed them, and while the two "Midnight" plugins both work I can't find the "Scarlett" ones anywhere among the plugins when in Logic (10.5.1 in MacOS 10.14.6 Mojave).
Plugins not showing up in menus is either a Logic bug, or a combination thing between Logic and some third-party plugins. You can try adding those plugins to a custom category in the plugin manager and seeing if you can open them that way. Also make sure you're on a valid audio track type - eg, if they only support a stereo input, and you're on a mono track, they won't show up as they might not support that config (I don't know, just giving an example to check.)
The interesting thing is that on my other Mac (running MacOS 10.13.6/Logic Pro X 10.4.8) the "Scarlett" plugins show up just fine! On the 10.14 Mojave Mac I even tried Logic from another user login, so it seems like those particular plugins don't work in MacOS 10.14 Mojave while they do in 10.13 High Sierra.
Scarlett is a plug-in suite that provides a collection of compression, gating, EQ, and reverb plug-ins for tracking and mixing. The Scarlett user interface features a Red anodized aluminum look featuring intricately modeled, life-like VU meters.
Each plug-in has a host of fast and easy-to-use presets, providing a great starting point for processing everything from vocals and guitars to synth bass and percussion. In addition, every plug-in parameter can be finely tuned to achieve the desired sound.
A lot of you probably own this because you got it free when you bought a Focusrite interface. That's why I have it. Since it was free I really didn't bother with it much for the first half year or so I owned it. But I've been using the EQ and compressor a lot more lately and I quite like both of them. The reverb is okay, but nothing too special, imo. But the compressor specifically is pretty great as a bread and butter track compressor (i.e. not for buses). The gain reduction metering is great, the controls are very easy to use, the interface is pretty good looking. Best of all, the CPU load is reeeeaaaalllly low, which is great for anyone working with an older or relatively underpowered machine.
Excellent little set of plugins, see full video review here (a proper review, not a re-posted promo video) which shows all the plug-in's features in action, including the various Gate trigger options explained and demonstrated as well as an explantion of the low and high eq bands for beginners who may be interested in getting this suite:
"Software Activation
The Scarlett Plug-in Suite requires you to activate the software before you are able to use it. Activation requires internet access, however this is not specifically required on the computer on which the plug-ins are installed.
Here are the steps required to activate your plug-ins.
1. Open your DAW of choice.
2. Open any one of the plug-ins in the Suite in the same manner as you would open any other VST or AU plug-in in your DAW.
On opening the plug-in an activation window will appear"
Usually if we want to use vst plugin in Music Maker we got to put them/copy them inside the Synth folder of the Music Maker. Next time when we start Music Maker we can see newly installed vst plugins but not always. Some plugins will not work.
As mentioned above I have the iTrack solo, a microphone for recording my voice, a microphone stand and a decent set of headphones, I know I have the option of putting the music I make on to a CD using the Magix software and I also know that I have to activate the Scalett plug in.
When I open the Magix music maker and go to program settings which is the 4th icon along, I have an option there that gives the choice of "General options" "Import" "Adio/Midi" "Video" "Folders" and I still can't find what I am looking for lol.
DAW= Digital Audio Workstation unfortunately Magix Music Maker is not DAW but we can add VST Plugins but not all. Also unless you tell us what version of Music Maker are you using how could we help?

Therre is a 249 page How-To/Help manual thaat comes free, at no extra charge, with your MM purchase. You need to read it.....soon. I will give you a clue, as you seem to need a lot of them....open MM, at the top of the program and a litle to the right is a HELP link...click on it.
You received a manual with the iTrack. Read it. Follow the instructions. You received a CD with the Windows driver. If not, download it from the Focusrite site. Install it for Windows as per the manual. Look at page 9 and onwards in the manual. Follow the instructions. I am not going to reproduce them here. The settings in MMM are similar to what is in the instruction manual.
Im new to audition so im still learning alot. I come from protools but as a graphic designer i have the suite so i figured i could start using audition since im already paying for it. I used to record only vocals so i have never had this problem or the need to figure it out. Now im recording instruments (guitars). I have audition cc , and imac, and a scarlett solo interface. I recently purchased a plug in for the guitars. My problem is that i cannot hear the plug in effects until after i record. I can hear my guitar dry as im recording but i cant hear the effects till after? This is probably and easy fix since im a newbie. If anyone could help id really appreciate it. An easy to understand explanation would be even better. TIA
Audition only records dry, so if you are monitoring the input from the scarlett on headphones, that's what you will hear - dry. If you alter the scarlett monitoring from 'direct' (push the button to disable) then you have the option to get the sound back from your computer and monitor that instead. If this doesn't work immediately, you may have to enable smart monitoring in Edit>Preferences>Multitrack. You should then hear the effected sound from whatever effect you've put in the track you're recording on. But, there are a couple of important points to note; you will still be recording the track dry - if you remove the effect from the track afterwards, you'll just hear the raw signal again. This is entirely deliberate - it gives you the option to make changes after the event, when you discover that your processing guess wasn't quite right in the context of the track as a whole.
The second point may be more significant; to put the effect on your guitar, the signal has to go into the computer, get processed, and then get out again. This takes a finite amount of time, and can be seriously disturbing to your playing. It's called 'latency' and there's nothing you can do about it, I'm afraid. This is in general why most guitarists choose to use external 'real' effects, which obviously don't suffer from this problem at all.
Focusrite offers the Midnight Plugin Suite and Scarlett Plugin Suite bundles for free download on its website. The plugins are now discontinued and considered legacy software.
Focusrite plugins have been around for quite some time. They were originally available exclusively for Focusrite hardware owners. However, the company has discontinued its legacy plugins and now offers them for free on its website.
Tested the Scarlett suite on a MacBook Air M1 running Ventura, the plugins are validated by GarageBand but when loaded the UI fails to load correctly and the plugin is unusable!
Too bad, the Scarlett Reverb was a good one for 80s style reverbs!
With the same input source/dry track, Native and the hardware will sound exactly the same. The guitar inputs on the Helix hardware are optimized for electric guitars in a way that most generic audio interfaces aren't.
The Powercab sounded like an amp because it is an amp. You made no mention of what you were monitoring through at home when you tried the Native demo. If you were using headphones, studio monitors, or some other FRFR speaker, then comparing it to the Powercab is rather pointless... it's a different animal. The whole point of the Powercab is to provide the "amp in the room" feel that some guys can't do without.
