Essential staff with questions on whether to report should contact their appropriate administrator. Facilities Management will be working to check all building systems including HVAC, elevators and fire alarms. If power has not been restored in your work area when you return, please report that to Facilities Planning and Management at (909) 537-5175. The Palm Desert Campus remains open and operational.

so you would like to know a little bit more about me. First off, thanks for taking the time to read my bio. As you probably already guessed, I am geoff wrenn, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #MFC112671 and have been practicing as a Psychotherapist for over 9 years. I use a Narrative Therapy approach to help clients understand their unique story and situation. I have an extensive background in cultural studies and I seek to understand clients within their own personal context within a conversational therapeutic setting. I have been a Professor at Cal State University, San Bernardino in the College of Education, Special Education Rehabilitation and Counseling department since 2020 (right when the pandemic hit...great timing, I know). Previous to working at CSUSB, I was a university professor for 10 years and taught courses in; sociology, anthropology, history, philosophy and a lot of other classes. Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate in International Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and have traveled to Ghana and Rwanda in a professional capacity.

I earned a Bachelors and Masters degree in the field of Intercultural Studies from Biola University in 2002 (BA) and 2006 (MA). My background allows me to pull from many different disciplines and help clients and students learn from many different perspectives in a holistic way. I seek to understand people within their unique context, by looking at their life through, social, emotional, relational and analytical perspectives and frameworks. I also draw upon many of my personal experiences traveling abroad and the different ways people understand mental health which I have been able to utilize within the classroom so that students may be able to draw upon understanding those differing beliefs and diversity and apply it within the context of their work.
