I've been enjoying using bup for my local needs and wanted to scale it out to others in my team. To do this, i needed to use a network drive that has more security and provisioning as a storage instead of my local drive. However, i seem to have hit a wall with this. Bup saves/splits fail whenever my BUP_DIR is a network mounted file..

Has anyone experienced this? or know of a fix?

Thanks,

Could it be related to this recent discussion:

Subject: [PATCH 1/1] Make os.fsync() failure non-fatal. Needed on mounted CIFS file systems.
https://groups.google.com/d/topic/bup-list/oJbemMZwnic/discussion

If so, I think we should be able to fix it once we sort out the details.

Thanks
