I cannot get into sketch up pro 2022 when I sign into Trimble my password is accepted but the code never arrives on my phone. I emailed support over 4 days ago with no response (not cool). Already missed a major deadline and totally lost as to how to get back up and running. Any ideas?

appreciate you taking a look. will try again today. it is just the sms verif code to phone not working. i can change the password and get verif code to email. i would turn off MFA but no way for me to do it without phone code. it was MFA was working without issue up until a week ago.
For the purchase, did you use a different email address to the one you use in the forum? The verification code should only happen when you first set up an account, and your usual email has had an account for a long time.
Hi, i am having the same issue with logging into Sketchup, the verification code is not reaching my hotmail inbox and i have checked the junk folder . I would prefer this two factor authnetification to be turned off. Please could someone help me and reset this as i cannot do any projects currently and there is no way for me to log in.
Look up!, at the image above this introduction. The snippet of code captured in that image very closely approximates some of the first lines of Ruby that I ever wrote. I had spent a few hours learning some basic ruby syntax, then I dove into the SketchUp Ruby API with the express purpose of being able to pushpull more than one face at a time - a task repeated so regularly in the City Planning office I was working at where I created model after model of countless cities across the country. I couldn't believe how amazing it was that I could transform a task that can be so time consuming in SketchUp into a few simple lines of code that execute instantly. I saved myself days of double-clicking, pushpull, carpal tunnel laden time. NO, I saved my company days of time. What?! Give that man a raise!
Take me to the Ruby API Docs - If you are familiar with API's, SketchUp, Ruby, etc and just need to find the Ruby API documentation, then click that link! Also, there is a link to it on the right side of this page that says "Check out the latest Ruby API". The API docs have all the documentation that regular consumers of API's need to get up and running quickly with our Ruby API.
In Depth Examples - You should also review the section with Example Extensions. There we have example scripts that go well beyond the basics. We show how to package your extension for distribution to others, show many examples of best practices, and more. Once you get oriented and are considering sharing extensions, you'll want to get familiar with the examples in our Example Extensions section.
When testing methods i like to run the code in Ruby Console+ to see the Sketchup methods through autocompletion. For optimization, i made a method for cleaning up a model by removing hidden elements, going from 120000 elements to 45 in the scene.
This took a understandable 25s to complete, and all was swell.
Is there a way of graphically identifying locations/file paths of raster images within layout (ie: not using document setup)? This would make it easier to find the troublesome file. (Or alternatively a validity checker/fixer" tool).
I got this code after copying and pasting a bunch of stuff from an old document into a new one. I could not find anything in the reference files to fix. The error code went away after I started somewhat randomly deleting elements. I do not have any idea what the bad element was.
The #== method checks to see if the two Sketchup::Colors are equal. This checks whether the RGBA values are the same. In versions prior to SketchUp 2018 two color objects with the same values would be considered different.
From Trent:
We have discovered that the issue is related to your time UTC + timezone and the timestamp associated with the SketchUp file. When your LayOut file is saved there is a mismatch in the two which will cause this crash.
Setting the Auto render in the SketchUp Model panel will prevent this from happening.
In reply:
Tried today with the model auto render ticked and it crashed but with auto render unticked it worked perfectly .
So playing around with the Model auto render in Layout worked for me.
This code editor extension offers an easy-to-use and visually appealing way to write and modify Ruby scripts directly within SketchUp. These scripts can then be used to create geometry, add functionality or add data within the SketchUp 3D modeling environment. The SketchUp Ruby API provides an extensive set of functions to automatize SketchUp in many ways or create scripted, computational geometry.
Error code 112 indicates that the number of layers a page thinks it has is out of sync with the number of layers that are actually in the document. I have never seen this come up before. If you could PM me the LayOut file (with the error page still in it), I would love to see if I could diagnose how this happened.
I'm running Window 7 64-bit. I'm trying to setup Visual Studio Code as my debugging environment for Sketchup 2016 extensions, for which tasks.json must be setup in VSCode to execute Sketchup with command line arguments. I'm receiving what looks like a general error relating to json files, but i a mot familiar with json and have struggled all day to find a workaround.
Hello dear Ben??
When can I use Veras?
Will this problem be solved this week? My project design is completed and I am eagerly waiting to render it with Veras
I waiting every single dayyyyy
Hello,
I keep running into the same error in working with sketchup/layout.
Code: X-86-64. The files I am using were working properly but when I delivered them to my team and received them back they stopped functioning properly and I am having continued crashes when trying to execute certain functions. I am on a Mac platform and they are on windows and we thought it may be a compatibility issue but they are not having this same issue with other people using Macs.
Also I have two working sketch up files, one building model and one site plan model which has the building model linked to it. If I make a change to the building model and then try to update that change in the site plan file it also crashes and gives me the same error code: X86-64.
SketchUp is a 3D modeling software that is widely used in various fields, including architecture, engineering, and interior design. One of the reasons why SketchUp is so popular is its versatility and flexibility, thanks to its ability to be customized and extended with the help of SketchUp extensions and plugins.
We can let you know even more after you've submitted us a feedback report with your logs and offer a potential solution/workaround thereafter - This is basically always the best approach when you experience any crashes or problems with Enscape and require support as quickly as possible.
Hello... after searching and searching on google I found something that worked for me and could be the solution for others that I see that have NASA equipment (i9 -32 RAM + RTX 3090) for whom of course the solution is only deactivating ray tracing doesn't do them any good... (for such a team if I have to turn off that important function) It turns out that maybe at the time of some windows update or the video card driver the function of ray was deactivated "hardware acceleration" ... so just curious I checked and evidently it was disabled, so I not only enabled it but added the programs I use the most and set them to high performance, enable ray tracing, restart the computer crossing fingers and voila I was once again able to render high quality with active ray tracing.
I recently bought a new computer with an NVIDIA RTX 3070 graphics card with 8MB of dedicated Vram. I didn't think I'd encounter any problems with it. However, I attempted to open a 17MB file in Enscape and it would crash every time and give me the error code: "vulkan error: vk::queue::submit: errordevicelost at queue submit".
I am not sure why my new NVIDIA card did not work with the latest Enscape version but that seems to be the issue. The cause of your error may be different than mine, but I wanted to share what solved my issue. Good luck out there and happy rendering!
You can try the very latest NVIDIA drivers which should resolve the previous issue with Enscape detailed in the linked thread, but if that also doesn't do the trick please submit that feedback report as advised (if you're able to) so that we can troubleshoot this further.
The SketchUp C API is an interface for reading and writing data to and from SketchUp models. This API interacts directly with SketchUp files (.skp). It can create new ones as well as read or modify existing ones.
SketchUp 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.0 for Windows were built using Visual Studio 2019, and so plugins should be built with the Platform Toolset set to Visual Studio 2019 (v142). Using a different Platform Toolset will likely cause the plugin to fail to load and cause SketchUp to crash.
SketchUp 2017, 2018, and 2019 for Windows were built using Visual Studio 2015 SP1, and so plugins should be built with the Platform Toolset set to Visual Studio 2015 (v140). Using a different Platform Toolset will likely cause the plugin to fail to load and cause SketchUp to crash.
SketchUp 2022 was built with target SDK 10.14. Building and releasing an application using the SketchUp C API for macOS requires including SketchUpAPI.framework. The framework is 64-bit, and can be found in the SketchUp C SDK for macOS.
Included in the SDK package are two C++ sample projects: skp_to_xml and xml_to_skp. These projects demonstrate how the SketchUp C API can be used within the SketchUp plugin architecture to create importers and exporters meant to be hosted directly by SketchUp. The XML schema used by the samples is only for demonstration purposes.
