OK so organisation has been pretty poor from me over the last few
meetings. This month how about we try and actually get a few talks on ;)
A while ago it was discussed that the 16th will work for people this
month, so the 16th it is.
I think I'll look at actually giving the Encryption talk I was on about a
while ago.

I see you need a refresh on Computing history. And an even bigger need
to read massive mailing lists.

:( If Edd can give me a lift and someone can offer me a place to sleep
I am happy to give a talk about how to write a cloud app with Amazon
and/or Google

Hello Ricardo,
Personally I can't manage to do anything artistic, a few of our other
members are more artistic than me. I'm sure most people would be
interested in seeing some of the work and possibly helping out where we
can.
Head along on the 16th and introduce yourself, just email if you need more
help getting there.
Ricardo, very impressive stuff, I particularly like the Kingo goldfish
animation.
I know Mex (The above top posting scum [jk] :D) is familiar with
visualisations based on his mass multi threading research which have a
similar "oooo, ahhh" firework effect. Though that's more a
visualisation of the Achademic work they work on than visual effects
for the sake of visual effects. (Mex have you got some of those super
sexy vids you showed at #BarcampBournemouth?)
Historically Bournemouth Uni used to have some experts in Flocking and
AI which might have been relivant. But I think those people have moved
on, not sure.
Regardless your more than welcome to come join us at BUNX for our meet
ups or just surf this group as we post. Were a real mixed bag of
individuals, Students, Doctoral students, graduates and working
professionals. Interests and expertise range from Assembler, to GUI
design to Cloud computing and virtual machines to mention a few.

Here are some of the vids I showed [0].
They are not as purdy as the space invaders one, but the occoids one
for exmaple prob has 500+ processes in it.

I'll give a quick demo of my DAB Radio -> Icecast bridge if I ever get
beyond writing the Icecast module.
